LOL if true

The biggest LOL is how nobody cared when they operated out of Cerulean Tower previously.  While it's almost certainly true that Mark's moved there so he can get security to keep angry customers and nosy journalists away, this isn't a "new" business location for MtGox - it's one from which they previously operated.

I think if it was truly security, they wouldn't have announced their new locale.

They announced it as an address for people to send stuff to.  They're not a public-facing service, so there's not a whole lot of risk in people knowing where they're operating from providing people can't just wander in and out of the building - which they can't.  It doesn't have to be a highly secure facility if all they want is to prevent people being able to barge into MtGox and harass Mark/staff.

Both the police and building security have already intervened with the protesters.  Mark pretty much gets to avoid everyone but the authorities at this point if that's the way he wants it.  He can keep the public away from his staff at Cerulean Tower and it's not even essential that he works from there himself.

Mark's pretty arrogant but he's probably not wrong if he's thinking that protesters are going to give up and go away fairly quickly if he can limit their opportunities for contact with him.  Moving into a building which already has security in place - and which he can access without going through the front door if necessary - is a quicker and easier way to avoid angry customers than remaining in the old location and employing security contractors to keep the riff-raff away.

All I can say is that this is Bitcoin. I don't believe it until I see six confirmations.

But making a such move in, CRETICAL moment for their company and for the Bitcoin Community and Currency, is bad.

Nah  I don't think the move is extremely important...

Maybe it's time to reconsider their initial idea of trading magic: the gathering cards.

maby they touth they could magicly fill empty bitcoin wallets https://blockchain.info/nl/address/1LNWw6yCxkUmkhArb2Nf2MPw6vG7u5WG7q
emsty since 02-06-2014 0:44 then they found out they were out of bitcoin , and started to blaim the bitcoin system....

Gox claimed to have most of their BTC in cold storage, if true then they should be "almost" OK.

I don`t think they`re operating in the hotel. The hotel is in the same building as a virtual office business, the hotel doesn`t occupy the entire building.

They might be working from home or something, and using the V.O. address for correspondence.

They used to claim a decent number of paid "staff", not sure how many people are currently working for him.

For me its a red alert sign that he changed location. If its just software issue why isn't this fixed. Instead he changes location? I believe there is very little left at the Gox. Unless he has 30k worth of BTC in Cold storage. The fact that the company is based in Japan gets me even more worried. Not having any licenses, fire alarms are going off in my head.

The fact is Karapeles could of USED THE FUNDs he made off all the transaction fees and pay to get MSB licenses in the states. Reinvestment is what made Amazon the powerhouse of internet sales today. With 1.7-2 million dollars. I believe you can find an attorney that will get you MSB licenses in all 50 states without questions.

How much money do you think Gox made so far over its life span? Just want to get everyone input.

I'm sorry but for someone who's been on the internet for over TWO decades, I have to say the name "Mt.Gox" and the fact that they used to trade magic: the gathering cards was a huge red flag and screams "stay away".  Anyone that traded on Mt.Gox didn't do their research.

I'm a newcomer and it didn't drive me away.  It's only a matter of time.  Unfortunately it's probably not going to happen til Gox goes away and never comes back.  The scams really need to go away, but that'll never happen.

gox is since last 24h rising or pretty stabile, what is pretty suspicious too. pure manipulated price. there was no real reason that the price goes up. all attempts to get rid of payout problems didn´t succeed and price was rising.

at this time it good for gox to not make any payouts: low btc-price, that means many people are feeding gox with fresh fiat! just crazy...

soon they will close the doors and have made even more money.

Enjoy your life!

The reason that it went UP is because they Verified a HUGE bash of new accounts, which they began buying. Which push the price up again.
