yes greedy will make us suffer huge losses. it's better to make a small profit than to lose. so I will sell my coins when my coins have increased 40% and also better to invest in old coins safer and more profitable than new altcoin is very risky to lose because coins cannot last long in the crypto market. I also have experience like yours. I invested several times in new coins but continued to suffer losses. so I now choose to invest in old coins. although at the moment most of the altcoins are also declining because the value of bitcoin is down. but I believe that when bitcoin pumps, most of the altcoins will also increase.

Many tradets getting poor because of greediness! Most of them are looking only for positive feedback on fakenews for cryptocurrency. Therefore, they buy coins not in price action buy by gossips of authors. Until they will sell most of the investment because of too much long to be waited. Greediness and unawareness are not an asset for crypto, they are vice so we should forget them.

I don't think the OP has enough experience to do the mentioned trading strategies as you perfectly explained. Before adding to the losing position, taking out the melting funds from the trade is the first thing comes to my mind. Trading losses are part of a daily job in the trader's life but cutting losses can be tricky for inexperienced traders due to the pullback possibility after taking long positions (liquidating short).

in my opinion, investing in bitcoin or other popular altcoin is the best option right now

the solution to cover the losses then I went back to buying and selling potential altcoins ... even though I was unable to return the losses by 100% but could return 50-70% of the assets that I had ... and this I had experienced a few weeks ago ... and you must more time to buy and sell instans ... and this is the way I often do ..

actually in a loss on one virtual currency it is normal, provided we do not have to sacrifice all our funds to buy it and as you say potential altcoin, because when we buy a potential altcoin by not using all our funds then it is an anticipation to cover losses on future purchases

It is very difficult to cover losses when day trading as the market can change directions at any time without you been aware. Just see how the dip occurred in the last few days.

You can try setting alerts to trigger stop loss so you won't lose too much when the dip sets in

Sorry for your losses, presently the market is really bearish but for you to succeed you need to keep pushing, if you are holding good coins, I think you shouldn't sell, just keep holding, also if you have spare money, seize the opportunity to buy some good coins now, the value is really at the bottom, it could help you recover when the market starts recovering.

Bit by bit you will learn solutions to cover your lose, if your athirst is high to backup your funds. After Q2 2018 in cryptocurrency, everything was non- profits trading, mining, short or long term. My 1 Ethereum was gone just in few days. After Q2 this year top coin was profitable.

Yeah it happened last year the price was not so high as we know selling for panic is not good at all so that’s why you also should keep holding and never think about panic. The foremost thing is to not get depressed and lose courage because each one of us is destined to face failure at some point in career. There is always a way out of every harsh time. In order to make profits during dip season and recover loss in short duration, day trading with bitcoin is the way to go. The reason why bitcoin is recommended, because it is highly volatile that makes big profits possible.

Choosing the right coin and knowing the right time to invest is not always as easy as we think with regards making profit.
