Interesting, though I'm not interested in paying a that kind of a fee to use it, or to use an app that is a closed source derivative of an open-source project. As clearly stated on the web site, MultiBit and BitcoinJ were used to create this. Although the resulting JAR is obfuscated, simple string searching reveals that indeed MultiBit and BitcoinJ are the sources used. Unfortunately, where MultiBit and BitcoinJ have a few hundred .java files, there are about 10,000 .java files for MuCoWa, so refactoring back to the original source is more difficult.
But, it looks like the original Apache and MultiBit licenses have not been included as part of the package, which I believe is a stipulation of the original works.
My suggestions:
- Make the open source pieces used open source again.
- Put those licenses back into the project.
- Re-evaluate your fee structure.
- Provide more details into your contact information and who you are, in order to build trust in you as a developer.
- Add some screenshots to your web site so people can see what they are getting.
