Bitcoin mining is now a specialized and very risky industry, just like gold mining. Amateur miners are unlikely to make much money, and may even lose money. Bitcoin is much more than just mining, though!

What's your price range? The ones we use cost around $150 each but work very well. Look up a company named aviosys. Their power strips can restart when they cannot ping an IP address for a certain time and you can monitor power use on each port.

Helping stop scammers by giving negative trust thats visible.

wow that digital logger is cheap

I was going to suggest a Ninja Block with remote outlet, but for only one outlet that is more money. But if you were controlling 100 outlets it would be much cheaper.

Ok. I decided to go for a single outlet adapter since I realized I didn't need multiple outlets hooked up right this moment, but I did like the Digital-loggers strip for $129 on Amazon.
This is what I got:
Belkin WeMo Switch.

Thanks guys for pointing me in the right direction.

I also know that this sort of thread will be appreciated around here.

They're great devices.  I have two of them, the web version linked above and the rackmount version.  Only difference between them is the number of outlets, UPS, and redundant power - their web interface has the same features on the "basic" model.
