Hello.  Just downloaded the latest Armory as of 7/28/18 for Windows.  Created my first wallet and tested it with 1 page paper backup printed with SecurePrint.  The test of it failed and produced the wrong wallet ID.  Deleted the wallet and created another primary wallet.  It failed the backup test the same way producing an incorrect wallet ID.  I printed the screens to make sure I was selecting the correct backup type test which requires me to enter the SecurePrint code and the two lines of the root key.

Try with a backup that isn't SecurePrint at first. Once you have that down, try with SecurePrint and report here.

Where did you download this "latest Armory" from? And what is the version number shown?

If it is 0.96.4 and you got it here: https://btcarmory.com/ Then you have the latest version.

However, if it is only 0.96.0 and you got it here: https://www.bitcoinarmory.com/ then you do NOT have the latest version.

Would not let me post the whole log.  Said I posted within the last 90 minutes even though all I did in the last 90 minutes at the time about 1 or 2 hours ago was attempt a search for discussions that produced nothing.  Said try later -- my account is too new.  Here is the log from the start up to the point where I deleted the wallet after the print with SecurePrint failed the test and I begin to create the next new wallet:

Note the Armory screen says Preparing Databases.  No idea how long that might need to run.

Do you have Bitcoin Core installed? Looking at the logs, Armory cannot find Bitcoin Core.

Armory REQUIRES that Bitcoin Core is installed (and fully synced) to be able to function properly... So, it will probably sit at "preparing databases" forever.


However, I would not have thought that that would stop you from creating a wallet and doing the securePrint backup. It shouldn't need Core for that.

No Bitcoin Core is not installed.  Only Armory is.
