Gox guys themselves buy. They lack funds ever since they were hacked in 2011 and their money was frozen in US 2013. The only way for them to catch up and not go to bankruptcy was to stop withdraws and buy the cheap coins. It may be their exit strategy. Mt. Gox is the pirate40 v2.0.

then they go to a different site where they exchange 1 goxBTC for 0.43BTC

if someone bought 10goxBTC he spent like 1400goxUSD after exchange he got 4.3BTC
after he got the real BTC he only has to go to bitstamp or btce or any other exchange for a quick sell 4.3*550= 2365 USD !
If he sells on localbitcoin then he makes a lot more!

Gox is a bad investment choice.

And appareently people are keeping their money in Fiat as to be able to get it back when gox goes bust.

Either that or gox is playing a dangerous game.

I seriously doubt it gets that low.

A 90% pullback is about the most you can expect in a situation like this of high fog and zero visibility. There are still plenty of people out there with unlimited fiat ammo, thanks to Ben, who will be willing to take a flyer on cheap coins, not to mention the manipulators.
