My thought exactly. The industry has been infested with get rich quick noobs and we definitely don't need more of them. I rather see them flow into altcoins and put their money to waste there.

Bitcoin seems to be less attractive for noobs and I actually like it. Most of the people investing in Bitcoin do it for the long term or they use it as store of value. The rest has left to altcoins hoping for better returns.

I remember how people here were excited to see celebrities promote Bitcoin, while now rightfully don't like to see it happen. Bitcoin is not a statement of luxury and shouldn't ever become that.

I wouldn't go to this extreme, as I don't think her supporters are even knowledgeable enough to be able to buy into bitcoin HAHA!!!! I'm expecting to see her to use this as a chance to sell some bitcoin memorabilia or even do some coinbase referrals where she can make some easy money with her followerbase. She's a sellout, so I won't be surprised if I see an ICO ad come up....

I see it, Maybe she was in a promotion program for a casino. I don't think her picture is positive because many of her fans which have no knowledge about cryptocurrency may get involved in crypto in a dangerous way after seeing her pic.

Do you even know what you're taking about? The only way bitcoin will rise in value in the first place is by new money coming in. If no fresh money comes in then the price will stagnate and won't rise at all, but even if these Kardashian crypto newbies did sell their coins then it's money that wouldn't have even been there in the first place without her promotion. You should be lucky for any sort of promo from celebrities, but Kim Kardashian posting a ten second video on an instagram story that will be gone within 24 hours isn't exactly noteworthy and the people who will actually invest from that would almost certainly be very minimal if any at all. Most of her fans will be completely oblivious to bitcoin even after her posting that, but maybe it will pique the interest of some and anyone using bitcoin at all is good for bitcoin in my opinion.

This was no an promotion with purpose to promote BTC, it was more like - she was suprised and knowing that BTC is a thing, wanted to show the world .
In anycase , the interesting part for me was that there was btc chips at all .

Also, she used Bitcoin as playing cards, and this is incompatible with the digital nature of this process.

Why is that a bad or a negative thing? Gambling is one industry where bitcoin has the potential to be huge and is actually another way bitcoin can be used to avoid unnecessary state censorship, not to mention there are already lots of bitcoin gamling sites and without them bitcoin might not be where it is today. I'm sure you've even advertised for a bitcoin gambling site in some way or another before as well.
