Hi, I haven't been using my S7 for about 6 month and the last time everything was OK , but now it won't start ( It looks like that the problem is the BB board ).

  • Green/Red LEDs are off same as network socket lights

Red LED at the end of the IO board is ON and the Green LEDs on the front either

Blue LED on the BB board is ON

    Fans working at low speed

Hash boards don't do anything ( they won't start ) and miner doesn't get an IP

IMGs: https://imgur.com/a/lwsSFQI

Tried resetting using reset button but didn't work.

Sometimes these miners have issues starting up “cold” as opposed to if they’ve been actively running. I have one that I have to physically warm the boards with a hairdryer prior to turning on in order to get it started. Worth a shot.

I think the Ethernet socket is bad so try to clean it first and then check your ethernet cable to PC if it is not working, then if it didn't work change your ethernet cable with working one.

If still persist the only way that I know could solve the issue is to flash it with SD card. I never tested it yet, but you can follow the guide from here Possible problems for Antminer-Troubleshooting for S7&S9&L3+

Please check the #11 issue.

Tried Cleaning socket with electronic board cleansing spray and below some air with air compressor into it. Also changed the cables and switch ports but didn't work.

Looks like the I/O Board has started showing some misbehaviors. The back Fan is not working(which was working fine).Sometimes One Has Board's LED turns ON and stays ON which is wrong normally when even the antminer han't booted up yet and sometimes it doesn't happen.

Do u think i need to buy a new I/O ?

I have a similar problem with one of my hash boards where the TF LED stays lit but i think this is cause of faulty chip. - I managed to find that some problems are caused because of the small voltage step up converter near the back of the hash plate. These give problems as the board ages, vibrates during use, component failure, condensation, short circuit or even just fail.

If your S7 has two fan, you need to make sure both fans are ok and working before the unit will hash.  Grin Roll Eyes
