To answer OP's original question, there is no straightforward answer to this
First of all, it depends from project to project. You may want to hold onto tokens that have a ground utility and a foreseeable future regardless of the short term gains you get by selling the tokens the moment they hit a big exchange, you would make way more "money" if you held your tokens for a considerable time.
This is more true for coins that are self-deflationary in nature -like Equal (EQL) and Quantum (QAU) or that rewards hoarding, like Vethor (Vet) and other masternode based coins or even coins like Taucoin that are based on proof of transactions and rewards harvest clubs and transactions or even projects that have a token buy-back program (there are no other proof of transaction consensus based coins at the moment to my knowledge)
All these kinds of tokens would appreciate in their dollar value as time progresses and it only depends on you whether the appreciation is worth waiting for. 9 out of 10 times it is.
But the game changes the moment you look at it from a day trader's point of view. Every dip in the price is a buying oppurtunity and every pop is a selling opportunity and then the whole question becomes when to sell and when to buy rather than if to buy or if to sell.

It depend on which token you're holding . Each token has it own potential so depend on each token potential we will have different decisions . But at the moment when market is falling, I think the best option is selling right after listing because it's the time when token has highest price. Depending on the market situation and the coins that you are holding to decide whether to sell coins when it is listed on the Exchange. Sell if the market shows signs of decline and it does not stand out, you can keep if the market is growing and the coin has good potential.

Yeah, not all token are good after they listed in an exchange. Usually bounty hunters dumped the token after the listing and they made a lot of money because of that and what happen to the coin, it dumps deeper. Hold if you are a great believer of that token and sold it if you don’t see any future about that coin.

Selling a Token right after listing on exchange floors is one of the bounty member's faults as this has a horrible effect on the development of the ICO. They fear that they will lose money, especially investors who buy Token during the ICO period, which will sell as soon as the Token is listed on exchange floors.

Hello, everyone! I want to hear the opinions of traders. Is it a good idea to sell tokens immediately after launching on the exchange so that later, when the price falls, will they be purchased again? Always after the listing on the stock exchange price falls?
After you read all the comments on your thread what comes in your mind? Different opinions right. Every peoples desicion is not desame. Some are selling, some are buying, and some are holding. But if you are true believer of project the best thing to do is just hold it no matter what happen. Before you invest you need to set your target price to sell. Dont be greedy when setting up target price. For me 10% growth is enough.

It's worst idea to sell token after exchange listing unless you are looking for small short term profits.Coin projects go for ICOs to seek investments from investors to fund their projects which need time, money and resources. So it i takes time to exploit the full potential only after final product is ready, which may takes lot of time (based on road map).If you have trust in the project, the longer you hold, the better will be the rewards

I suppose it is true to sell part when its listed and price goes multiple instances the ico rate due to the fact from time to time you promote all ready to buy the dip and it never comes. sell component and take profit.

To be honest, I think that the majority of ICO projects are unprofitable ( maybe 80% of them). In fact, before you choose the tokens to buy you must make a good research on this ICO through reading the whitepaper and other things, and when you have a good knowledge in that field, then you can know what ICO will succeed. In my opinion, if you are beginner then you must avoid the rasheness in order for choosing the right tokens to HODL. I think if you have some tokens, then you must wait until it will be listed on the exchange, and trust me before that you cannot find someone who will buy that tokens for you with a good price from you. So ufortunatley, this is not a good idea OP.

I you podsol more than 100 bounty, and came to the conclusion that almost all coins drop in price 2-10 times and so I just sell all the coins. Half of the amount left in bitcoin and half withdraw in dollars.

Most of the time this step would be ideal and to think not all tokens or majority of them do dropped of when they are being listed on exchange which means the sooner you do sell the low value you would get. This is why when you do see a listing of the token you do hold then its better to sell off immediately rather than on deciding to hold it of since you can buyback anytime with cheap prices- which is guaranteed for sure because tokens would really head up on that way.

In that case i would surely sell my coins if it has a nice price value on its exchange. If money needs it i will sell them out and gain for a profit. If it not in need i will hold it and wait for the big pump. But mostly i let go my coins and sell it right away because i need profit everyday. I need to sell for my daily needs of my family.

I think you don't need to sell tokens if the price drops even though it has been launched on the exchange. You have to wait until the token price rises. But everything depends on you because it depends on the future of the token to be used. You need to pay attention that there are a number of tokens that do not always have a long term.

After observing a lot of tokens, I can probably see the general law. I don't confirm whether it is correct, but I believe it myself. The vast majority of tokens will rise sharply in the first few hours or days of the on-line exchange, especially when the token first landed on the exchange. After that, their prices will go down all the way, often falling more than a few times. And it is almost impossible to reach the peak price of the first time. So when the token was just on the exchange, it was a good sale. I have missed such opportunities many times, and it is a pity that I have lost a lot of money.

I'm not really a good trader, but i have my own strategy on holding tokens. I don't actually hold tokens for long term, because almost all tokens and some altcoins are just good in the beginning, and after a few weeks or months, it will begin to reduce its price until it loses its value. That's why, i don't want to recommend to anyone to hold tokens for long-term, except for those cryptos that i really trust like bitcoin and ethereum.

Selling your coin after listed on exchange depends on strength of the token if you see that it is utility coin that will be useful for other things after ICO you can keep or if if the market favour you while are you still waiting? Go and sell it.
