How can we currently tell if a post has been edited?

It used to say "last edited......." near the bottom, but I don't see that now.
How can we currently tell if a post (made by someone else) has been edited?

Just hover over the date of the post. Edited posts have a dotted underline.
For exemplification, I'll edit this post after the grace period.

5 minutes from what I know. It might be longer now since edits are being logged.

I thought I would ask the question here rather than it getting lost in the other thread, theymos posted:

The change is that all edits are now logged, whereas previously they were only sometimes recorded in DB backups.

Does this mean that admin and mods can now see the original version of a post after it is edited? I think previously only deleted posts (and not edited posts) could be viewed without going to the backups.

If you look below the date of the post and see dots, i.e. ................................................., the post was edited. Simply place your cursor over the date, and you'll see the last time it was edited.
