Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

Was a very fair launch IMO.  Quite happy with how this went, although difficulty is now thru the roof.

I managed to mine over 4.25 RON in under 45 minutes with about 6MH/s of mining power.

It was definitely important to tune scan-time, expiry, and intensity WAY down otherwise you would have found nothing but orphans (but this is pretty expected for a new coin launch at low diff).

Thanks rswanson, was fun.

Considering how hard is to mine this, the bounties look enormous...

Avoid the email confirmation pools they never work. Guys it's not real money you know no need for that kind of zealous security.
also 1.5 Ghs now oh god lol someone is going to have a nice dump.
Thumbs up to http://ron.cryptopools.com/ for having no cash out fee.

That was a shit launch. None of the pools worked. Someone had a ton of MH running solo. I had about 15mh running solo from the second the password dropped, all of the blocks I found were orphaned, so they clearly had me way out classed.

I should of went solo.  Just got in a pool, dif already 3.1
Gross launch.
Great job Dev.   Undecided

They were in IRC shouting out how many solo blocks they've found to each other while Windows users couldn't get the wallet to work and everybody not attempting to solomine was left without a stable pool for over 30 minutes. People would ask questions and they're too busy high-fiving and telling people to stop crying to give a shit. Jokes on them though, the coin spent its first 30 minutes being instamined by a very small group of solominers, then pools finally came up for about 3 minutes before 1.5 Gh came out of nowhere and completely raped the coin. It's gonna be nothing but mass dump, solominers, the premine, and multipools. They shot themselves in the foot not giving a shit about everybody else, who's gonna buy your dump when only your inner circle likes the coin and had a good launch?

I'm all for riding the waves of a new get-rich-quick coin from some devs, but christ, these guys aren't the brightest bulbs with this sort of strategy. Enjoy your underwhelming cashout returns, could've done a lot better devs.

I'm pulling out of this one... :-(

"Windows users couldn't get the wallet to work" because they didn't copy the pass correctly.

Yea, after the diff hit 4 I went back to my normal rotation. Kind of shady that the devs all had their solo rigs ready to go and didn't let the pools get the source early, knowing full well it would take them 30+ minutes to get the coin daemon up and running. It doesn't really surprise me though, I didn't expect much integrity with a 2% pre-mine, I was just hoping to beat the devs to the dump once it got listed on cryptorush.
