Hi guys,

is there a way to broadcast a transaction from a Core wallet that didn't synchronise in full? I tried sendrawtransaction debug console command but it would not broadcast a transaction, either. The wallet is not synchronised in full (it has been a second attempt to synchronize it, it stucks at one particular point, and as it takes more that a few weeks, I am not trying the third time)

Please, I am not interested in workarounds: I know that there are broadcast tx services out there. I cannot use them, because the coin we are talking about is a Bitcoin clone (and no such services exist, unfortunately) and the Core wallet is a Core clone, too, but it should not matter.

Thanks!

I very much doubt that it is possible if your wallet is an exact clone of Bitcoin core, but I could be wrong.

See https://bitcoin.stackexchange.com/questions/17432/my-wallet-hasnt-synchronized-can-i-make-a-transfer

If you have signed your transaction, maybe you could ask a friend or members of the coins’ community that do have a wallet that is connected to the network to broadcast your RAW txid?

Yes, I have a signed transaction in a hex form that could be broadcasted if such a service existed, I have done it for other coins with a success. Also, I did my homework best as I could before asking a question in our forum, I browsed some other threads on the subject and I am aware chances are slim that it can be broadcasted from my wallet if not fully synchronised.

Unfortunately, for Bitcoin Diamond (the coin in question) no such automated services are available and as I have more than one tx I want to push, I would like to avoid being such a pain in the a.s and bothering other people with sending them, too.

Also, as the question applies to Bitcoin as well, I ask it for the sake of increasing my general knowledge too Smiley

You might be able to leverage this: https://github.com/Ayms/bitcoin-transactions

It helps users create and send BTCD transactions (amongst others)... ostensibly for claiming coins from the forks etc... I'm not sure if it takes pure HEX transactions or not though... Also note that transactions created with this tool will include a small fee that is paid to the developer.

Perhaps send a PM to the developer: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=1344671 and see if he might be able to assist.

Alternatively, you could try the Bitcoin Diamond "Electrum" clone (http://btcd.io/#/download)... and use the broadcast() command from the console:
Code:
broadcast("SIGNED_TRANSACTION_HEX_GOES_HERE")
