Are alts heading to 0 earlier then we thought?

The alt coin market has been in decline for considerable amount of time.

There are many new coins coming on to the market daily and performing poorly on listing.

Look at the last 5/10 coins that have come onto Binance…. most have dumped immediately on listing,  possible by early investors or ico buyers.

Other than occasional increase in value, the trend has been very very bearish...

Many analysts have already said, the value of many alts is 0.   So the question im asking is could the move to 0 already have begun.

Why are many on these forums very bullish and hoping for a rise in value that may never happen.

Without a doubt many of these projects have failed and many many more will fail within the next 12/24 months due to the drying up of funds for project teams.


So the big question is... is it time to sell up on many of these alt coins, that will go to 0 or will you continue to HODL

Since you are still a newbie then those words are somehow anticipated which these are the common view or comments when they do saw declining on price when tokens hits or list on new exchangers.
Yes, they do really dump because of those ico investors which is normal but it doesnt mean it would go to 0 directly as long theres a movement or support between sellers and buyers there would be always a possibility that it can recover but we know this market do have a very fierce competition among tokens which whose the best will remain standing for longer runs.

OK, as far as new coins go, the market is absolutely saturated with them.  If you were going to choose to use crypto to buy something--or even to use it as an investment or a store of value--wouldn't you choose from the hundreds of coins already on the market?  What does a new coin have that bitcoin, litecoin, dash, ethereum, or any of those doesn't have?  The answer IMO is nothing.  People are just trying to find the next bitcoin, but that's not going to happen.  There is only a finite amount of money chasing X number of coins, and when X gets too big (which I think it has), the market can't support that.   That's why prices have been falling.

Not all of them have been, though.  I would also point out that in the past day bitcoin has dropped a couple hundred dollars (it's at $7747 as I write this), and a lot of coins are following proportionally.  We had a tremendous run-up a few months ago which had Dash over $1000 IIRC and a lot of the others gained significantly.  What we're seeing now is normal and isn't really a big deal. 

For the newer coins with less well-established communities, watch out.

I believe that this is happening due to the extreme diversity that the market witnessing, I mean ever since a couple of ICOs last year were successful and popular the whole market was flooded with altcoin , it even became hard to spot the good ones from the bad ones it all evolves around pump and dump, and there is no long term investment in them as soon as they go on exchanges they start losing their value.

Well with the whole things are going, one may one to say that but ad history would have its way, I always believe thing would still be back to normal. It is just as it is applicable to life, there are times of up and downs so though it may seem there is no hope, but anything can still happen

This is what happens, people buy into an ICO and hold the tokens until they are
listed on an exchange. As soon as they are listed they are dumped as fast as possible.
The true winners are the people who created the ICO and the ones who dumped
the tokens the quickest.

The people who are bearish are probably the ones who are left holding the worthless
previously dumped tokens and the ones who really believed the ICO project had potential.

When we compared the situation on previous years then it would really be entirely different on the things we are witnessing as of now which as you said most coins or projects when ico is just starting up most of them are successful and now developers do see that making big money on this industry is easy then later on the market is flooded with new coins which doesn't really have a true value or innovation but just copying out on others idea and also creating a new coin is too simple.

Many are so optimistic because they understand that all that is now is just the beginning. Crypto-currencies have recently entered in our life, they became more popular only a few years ago. To date, very little money has gone into this market, and this shows that this is only the beginning. This is a fairly profitable area. People never gave up profitable business, even if they harmed the lives of other people. So I'm 100% sure that this is not the end. Soon there will be another pamp and we will see how prices are rising every day higher and higher. So hold, for those who bought at high prices and can not figure out how to earn extra, a good strategy.

Yes I agree on that, it is just heading but I believe it will not fall into zero value, it is really a huge dip and it will not fall to zero value, in the next few days we can maybe experience a huge pump. And I believe that this was really normal in crypto everything is unstable.

Coins come and go but there are still alternative currency that will still be available no matter how the market behaves. I don't think any factor can cause the alts market to reach zero.

If initially it is good to analyze the ICO project in which you invest, then such questions and doubts in the further growth of the price for the token does not arise. Try to keep only coins of good projects.

Though it is right that after listing in a new exchange, most of the coins are dump high. Almost every new coins are suffering to ake a strong place in the crypto field. But the truth is, most of the new coins failed. Without hope, how can you think something bigger? Did you think bitcoi9n can hit 1K USD to 19J USD within a year? It's like the same, No one knows what will happen in the future, but everyone hopes for a good future for the crypto market. In this bearish market, many of the shit coins will die, and the only high reputed coin will stay. So, better now to wait for the bull market starts again.

Since crypto tradeable in the market,  they has so high volatility and the price possible to going up 10 times just in amonth and also possible to going down 90% just a few month.  But so far no one mayor crypto going down to zero,  in my opinion now its good times to buy more because later we will see bullish run will coming.

I think the alt coins will live again.  We seem to be in a rough patch for all of crypto.  Once the money moves back in things will explode back upwards and you will be kicking yourself for not buying while cheap.

You are too pessimistic. Just look at the history, all that's happening now is absolutely normal. After a very large pamp, a deep correction came. And the fact that altcoins now experiencing difficult times, is also not news, bitcoin is now also not in its best condition. And the scam coins appear and disappear, there is nothing extraordinary in this either. Do not take it so much to heart. Relax and enjoy the fact that you become part of the history of crypto currency. And there is no need to sow panic here, everything will be fine

I agree that the alt coin is losing the value, this is happening due to the massive amount of alt coin that keep on a appear every day, most of the time the investors just want to make profit quickly, so they will dump as soon as the coin being listed, the problem lies in the investors that don't believe the coin could become a break through, they rarely see the potential of the coin they just want the profit

Not all the crypto currencies were falling,just only a few that may not have any worth.The early dump in the crypto market is just normal this is because of the short time investors and the bounty hunters.And as you said many altcoins also will becomes zero value in upcoming years then only we have the healthy market with only the cryptos which have actual purpose,so don't worry about the shitcoins fall.

it is because there is no reason for many of them to even exist. specially the ICO tokens since they are not doing anything apart from being traded by speculators. but the same reason means they won't go to 0 because there are a lot of bag holders and pumpers. for instance you can see coins that are long dead, like joke coins such as catcoin, pandacoin,... which copied Doge or even Doge itself are still alive although they practically worth nothing.

you should have never held these useless coins in first place. altcoins are for trading not holding!

Some alts with no development and supportive community behind it are really heading to 0.
For some others which represents value there are still hope to recover if they improve in some segments
of the business. They are suffering in the bearish market.
