I'm confused.. Is mt gox operating or not? Can you deposit or withdraw money from there? And if it is operational, why is the price of BTC so low there compared to other exchanges.

You can't withdraw anything from there.
You should not try to use it.

Do you mean daily trade volume of > $10,000,000 at Mt.Gox is purely virtual ?

No. People are panicking and the price is going down with many trades happening. It might even be Gox buying coins from their customers at such a cheap rate.

The money flows in with a bank transfer. But does not go out. I made the transfer because I saw the price drop, and I believed them when saying that they would allow afterwards to withdraw the coins.

Now I think my only chance to get part of my money back is with bitcoinbuilder. But in the mean time I am playing to buy and sell with the little price fluctuations. Could be that many people is doing the same as I do?

No, it means that the IOU bitcoins are still rapidly changing hands between Gox users.
