I'd like to claim my fake Bitcoin, but I'm not sure I want to run the client in my computer.

Do you think it is safe?

Every time a block is mined, a certain amount of BTC (called the subsidy) is created out of thin air and given to the miner. The subsidy halves every four years and will reach 0 in about 130 years.

Which one?

Electron Cash and Bitcoin ABC (full node) are safe.

I was thinking about Bitcoin.com wallet which is SPV. I only want to import a private key and exchange for something else.

Apparently the bitcoin.com wallet doesn't have import private key functionality. So I might try Bitcoin ABC

Electron Cash is also an SPV wallet. And it's probably easier to import.

The Bitcoin.com is probably safe as well. But I prefer not trusting Roger Ver.

I don't have any experience with the Bitcoin Cash wallet (The one where you need to download > 100Gigs) but the Electron Cash seemed legit.

I verified the hash that it was signed by that Jyoofball guy and just used it cold like I did with Electrum.

I used it a few times and no coins where stolen, so its definately safe.

Just make sure you go to the correct website and verify the hash afterwards.

I've used Electron Cash and there's no problem, but i move my Bitcoin to another address on another wallet (different seed) just to be sure.

Bitcoin ABC or other full-nodes client isn't recommended unless you want to waste your storage/bandwitch and AFAIK bitcoin.com wallet isn't open source.

Electron Cash was created by forum user jonald_fyookball, who has a long record and an OK Trust history, so that's what I'd be inclined to use, though I'd still run it in a VM. And as ETFbitcoin suggested, you should empty and retire your BTC wallet before trying to claim the BCH.

I think the best way is install VM and then you can install the wallet to VM to claim your coin. The other way is claim your coin to wallet on exchange - sometime I did that to store the coin in one place.
