Staking x42 is very simple and is not resource intensive unlike pow mining.

• Doesn't need gpu/asic to stake,minimal resource is required.
• You get staking rewards in x42 depending on how many x42 are staked.The x42 supply is capped at 42million.
• While staking you will be running a full node and thus contribute to building a bigger,more resilient and decentralized network.
• PoS is highly 51% attack resistant.

• With the x42 Masternodes coming soon which is in testnet,you can direct the resources into hosting dApps and sidechains.

There are several anti-spam measures in place, but this is basically how the main one works: When a client wallet tries to make too many transactions in a set period of time it will get kicked to the back of the queue, if it keeps it up it will be disconnected from the network for 10 minutes, if it keeps up the ban time increases, and so on.
This is just one measure, there are several more in place.
But please do try to spam it, check for yourself, it is really interesting to see how this works when you are trying.

I just hope there is nothing like permanent ban for spamming.
Perhaps a continuous trial might result into that.
That not withstanding, I still enjoy things like this.

v0.1.17 was a mandatory update.

v0.1.18 is the latest release available,this is not a mandatory update.(this has solved most of the issues seen in v0.1.17)
Personally for me v0.1.18 has been very smooth and have faced no issues so far! i would recommend to update.
