Does positive news have any impact in bitcoin price

I have been observing a trend from last year bitcoin price movements to this year movement.
 I have observed how we're getting so much positive news and adoption about bitcoin this year, but still the prices refuse to go up. If this was last year a single positive news will have pumps the prices by at least 10% or more.
Its that positive news don't longer have any effect on the price movement or is their any manipulation going on.

Manipulations occur as before, but Bitcoin lost that agiotage that was 2017, because quite a few people invested in Bitcoin at a price of more than 15K.

Obviously right true news can makes increase bitcoin price, because many investor and trader do it wait for the bitcoin down price and depending to the possible news.so possibly news impact do that increase bitcoin holders and bitcoin Value.

Obviously it does but maybe it might not be instantly like is known in forex business.

and if they hodling bitcoin they probably quickly dump their bitcoins and this would affect btc price.

Positive news is usually followed by some fud to prevent it going up to much. However, if the positive news is really big such as an acceptance of ETF then nothing will stop the bull run.

various social media, such as Facebook, Twitter, Google, YouTube, again received crypto and ico advertisements. it will affect the trust of new people and investors to enter the crypto market and increase the volume of capitalization in the crypto market. and that can make prices rise.

Positive news who give a big effect on price movement of bitcoin or crypto currency be it price increase or price decrease is from regulation. Like the regulation of big company that accept and use crypto currency for their payment systems, other than that the regulation of a country receiving or banning bitcoin will also give a big effect on the decrease and increase in the price of crypto currency.

Positive news has a positive impact on the markets but not to the extent
that some people expect.

I suppose good news will help to increase demand but that doesn't mean

Yes, positive news has a great boost to the market. We can see that sometimes there are messages that can be disseminated quickly through social media in a short time. Of course, the speed of FUD is also fast.

That's exactly what he is saying though. Positive news should have a positive effect on price, but sometimes when there is positive news that comes out, the price just simply does not react to it. He was saying that we are constantly getting positive news but the price isn't going up. I too am unsure why this happens, I can only speculate that the effects of this are due to one of two things:

1. The positive news is sometimes offset by negative news within the same time period. There have been a few times this year where something positive happens, and the next day there is something negative. I think this may have stopped any pumps... Possibly.

2. The market has a bearish sentiment, so positive news hasn't effected this too much. However, this could mean that the price is being held down artificially, I guess you could say, because of the bear market. Buying pressure has been building though, so any positive news we see, is actually just fuel that is being saved for the next take off 

Not sure what the real reason is, but I think it's likely a combination of 1 and 2.

Positive and Negative can affect the price of Bitcoin even other altcoins their. But it can't affect the whole price of Bitcoin it might get a little high or low but the price still depend on the traders if they want to manipulate. Ofcourse it can, cryptocurrency is really a news depended market, different to stocks or forex, news will not affect so much.
But in cryptocurrency, news can make a 180 degrees changes

of course positive news have influence on the price of cryptocurrency the depth that it has is the major challenge. just like bad news also have negative influence have effect the price of crypto. I think even though the price of major crypto asset is dropping does not mean none altcoin has gain price increase. when you go to coinmarketcap and click on top gainner you will still find some altcoin that have increase in price and this gain will always be backup by positive news such as project being supported by some large investor, possible listing in more high volume market etc.

In my view,  both media influence  and manipulation affect the bitcoin. A positive media sentiment is desired for an upward price trend,  and the local retail brokers who manipulate the price of bitcoin.

They are still effective. But they are less effective these days. The problem is the traders. Now people become satisfied with a small profit. So, they sell their coins after a small profit and don't let the price to rise more.

Of course it does. Even a bad news can impact greatly with Bitcoin's price. And people usually tend to see the news for more information for where Bitcoin's price will be going next.

Maybe it has a small impact to the growing market because  of other new comers in btc was started to have motivated minds. But the news doesn't seem to be more accurate, it both provide negative and positive impact to other traders due to some panic that happened few days ago. Eventually, it's not worst at all, and the price went back profitable again as it recover few percentage after that fluctuations.
