Hello, I am a Novice and was recently scammed by someone I STUPIDLY befriended in a multiplying transaction from my wallet. As I retrace my steps, my wallet is legit but  I sent my bitcoins to to be multiplied to an apparently fake website.  This is a STUPID question (Hence the choice in Username) but does anyone know if there is ANY recourse at all in recovering your funds? Anyone wanting more info on how I made the transaction, Please message me Privately as I am now "gun shy" about TRUST because of these evil people. Thank you so much for your help!

All confirmed transactions are final, and generally irreversible, so unless you have personal details from them ( so you can sue/file a police report against them), the chance is very slim that you'll be able to recover your funds.

And even if you have a police report/case that leads to a conviction, i would say that it is still pretty questionable if you'll ever see your funds back.

By legit, you mean working right? you can do it yourself, all transactions are viewable in blockchain. Here's a list of block explorers, just paste the address.

It's actually more unsafe in private since no one would be able to correct it if someone mentioned something wrong or any shady things.

Why would you want your bitcoin to multiply quickly, if you are not trading or holding it for some time? Anyway it's good you shared to warn other "gullible" and greedy newbies who might have made a similar mistake. Learn how to trade,be patient and hold onto your BTC(if you can). Read pinned posts in this section and other sections. They help a lot.

Thank for the feedback. Although greed wasnt on my mind when I made the transaction..I had a situation that needed emergency money I had no idea how I was going to get. But I will definatley remember your feedback if I'm ever tempted to entertain the idea again...no matter what the reason might be. Thanks again.
