When electric cars becomes the part of people's daily commute oil industry will experience a big blow. This will directly affect the economy of large number of countries. For that reason electric cars won't be much supported as mentioned in the above quote. To the growing population and to the pollution happening through the cars operated on fuel, electric cars could reduce the pollution to some extent.

This is not an on/off switch, its slowly gaining momentum, but its coming; like Bitcoin.

First thing is it will remove the pollution from the cities, both air and sonic.

The oil industry has little to fear, there is still plenty of demand from dinosaur juice in other areas, such as heating or derivatives like natural gas and plastics. There is a ton of diverse chemicals that come from it too.

I also have no idea about electric cars or solo cars, i have seen on some videos but in practically i have not used it and also i have no interest on it. Even i will prefer gasonline cares on them. I suggest you, you should see majority people use gasonline cars than electric cars, so some thing is here, that's why people prefer gasonline cares than others.

It does already, specially in asian countries in which governments are offering to use this electric cars for transport services instead of diesel and gasoline cars because this is more cheaper in operation and environmental friendly, though the units are expensive

For who is still in doubt about electric cars, check Tesla business. They produce not only electric cars, but very resistent car models that don't damage the driver and the passangers in case of accident. It's just the future: to make a vehicle move through a sustainable source of energy.
Sadly it's not so easy to acquire a car like that, as there is the protectionism issue, to preserve the traditional vehicle industries and the fuel industries.

One day I think we will be able to have a free and sustainable energy source, no more expenses with fuel and electricity!

Electric cars are much better. Don't make much sound and charging them is not as expensive as tanking up the car with fuel.

I remember the concept of Back to the Future Movie in which the car was mobilized by water ,and in late 90’s there is a new that inventor has invented a car that can be run by garbage or Tree leaves as well

I think if you can afford an electric car and you still buy a gasoline one, you are an idiot.

I've read one of the main reasons some don't like electric cars is because they are not as fast as gasoline, like really, every day when you go to work you speed up on the highway like a complete jerk?... do you really need the speed? not really, for instance, in 2016 according to Transport for London, London cars are driving at an average of just 16.5 miles per hour, falling to 7.4 miles per hour in the city core.

Petrol based engines contaminate in two different ways, pollution and heat.

Also, changing at some point to electric cars, the greedy oil companies power will be reduced, and as far as I remember, as bitcoiners, we suppose to be of rebel heart.
