Yeah if we don't know how it happened it's hard to recover them. It might be even impossible if you wiped your drive or something similar. Edit if you have just deleted on your computer best you could do is turn that computer off and unplug the hard drive, since it can be overwritten at any time.

Sorry for your loss.

And if someone manage to recover it, why won't they keep it for themselves and not steal you?  Roll Eyes

Not enough information to help you. You need to tell everyone more information. Did you;
1. format/delete your hard drive?
A: if you did this in Windows, you could retrieve the information with LInux as it was NOT really deleted but the part of the computer pointing to the file was deleted. It is still there.

2. did you forget your key that you memorized?
A: You need to hire a hypnotherapist to recover your memory from your brain drive.

3. What is "team view"?

There's file recovery programs out there. miragecash has some good questions, how did you lose it? I would recommend shutting down your computer and taking out your hard drive, put a new one in and installing a new OS. Then hook up the old hard drive if it's a desktop or use a usb hard drive enclosure if it's a laptop. Then try to run a recovery program on the old drive.

3. What is "team view"?

TeamViewer is a free remote desktop program. One of my favorites. http://www.teamviewer.com/en/index.aspx
