i know but avalons are veryyyyy sensitive. s9 not so hard.
i made efficiency tests with PSUS and rising ambient temp, PSU almost make no difference in efficiency..
canaan sorcerer psu and bitmains..not much difference bit apw3++ stops working at certain temperature. APW7 can withstand higher temperature
--> efficiency with rising temp: its all about the miner
No it is a combination of multiple factors.
psu
miner
load on psu ie 1500 watts on a 1600 watt psu is worse then 1500 watts on a 2400 psu.
I also set the psu's I tested next to an ac vent so that the psu was ac cooled in every case with every miner efficiency was better.
My tests with:
s9
avalon 841
Halong T1
with
2400 watt delta plat
2500 watt hp Gld
1500 watt corsair tit
avalon scorcer
bitmain apw3 +
Halong
dell plat
all show ac cooling the psu make it more efficient
all show heat make the power draw higher.
and the s9 is less affected by heat as to power draw
the halong T1 has good selections of speed to avoid power draw
but that both of the above are more inclined to drop boards when ambient air temps go over 95f
the avalon 841's never ever drop boards even when NJ had a heat wave in early July and the ambient air was

https://www.timeanddate.com/weather/usa/freehold/historic?month=6&year=2018Our setup is in this converted barn
I developed a heat shielding method and the two 1600cfm fans keep the air temps 3 or 4 f lower
So that loft space was at 92 when it was 97 both the halongs and the s9's drop boards at those temps
