There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

Same, but he really seems like a smart guy and is a bit of a renegade. Read this great article for a bit more insight on him: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=459203.0

i think it will +1. QFT. If the "market cap" remains around $10 billion, bitcoin will not have succeeded. Back when the "market cap" was "only" in the tens of millions, people were saying the same thing. Thinking it could go to $100 million seemed like a fantasy. :-) Either bitcoin will continue to grow tremendously from here or it will fail.

If Overstock decides to sell their Overstock of BTC, then we have a problem. Glad to see he is sold on keeping BTC as a long-term investment.

Overstock is not holding BTC, he personally does. Someone selling a few million dollars worth of BTC does not mean "we have a problem". The company has to pay Coinbase an undisclosed fee to convert the Bitcoin they get from sales to U.S dollars, but it’s lower than what credit card companies usually charge. Byrne says,
