Send eth / token without fee is it possible? After several times I saw the "Honeypot" address and there were several transactions sent without fees but succeeded, was that possible or did anyone know how?

Yes That is possible, If the network is not too full like today. It's just not completely zero fee transactions, you can check here https://etherscan.io/tx/0x17224490348c17eb3bf7f17679f7b42b021b1ff9361b0670eccb24383f54f507 And the blog about zero fee here https://blog.ethlend.io/how-to-make-transaction-on-ethereum-network-with-0-5f5dedac872b

On this website https://ethgasstation.info/ you can see how many gas are recommended and also how much lowest gas is mined by the miner (currently around 0.1 gwei) But the chance for confirmation is very low.

Now for token, Actually I am still learning and don't really understand yet but i think that is also possible unfortunately I haven't found a way. You can see this transaction hash, he sent with 0 fees and i think depending on the token structure itself.

You can read here for the smart contract: https://www.coindesk.com/information/ethereum-smart-contracts-work/
And here for erc-20 https://www.investopedia.com/news/what-erc20-and-what-does-it-mean-ethereum/

Last thing, you can try reading the discussion about ERC865. So this will implement pay fee with tokens rather than eth, check here:
https://github.com/ethereum/EIPs/issues/865

Ethereum is very interesting to learn, Trust me and Good luck!!

Thank you, it seems like now it's difficult to send with a fee of that amount. I'm quite interested in erc865!!

I think it's impossible.
Because the delivery of the whole block requires the miners to take care of the packing, if there is no fee, no miners will handle the deal.

Thank you very much! That's really interesting for everyone. usually we do the same things and don't think about it and this is really important - security, smart-contracts and wallets. I'll try to make a transaction with your guide

Without GAS you cannot send ETH coins but you can definitely bypass the fees. There are some guides available online you can try those to see if they can be helpful as it depends on the type of ERC token you are trying to transact.

what is the difference with erc20 to erc865?

all i know sending transaction without any fee is for the airdrop you just need to send nothing with no gas on their address.
hmm seems like i need to research more for this.

I doubt if you can, actually you need gas to send trabsactions. However, there are times that gas fee is too cheap that you will not actually notice it and it is fast. It only happens when the ethereum network is not clogged.

it is not possible, when trasactions are made on the ethereum network , miners confirm the transaction and this helps to confirm your receipt,. miners get their fees for doing this job. no does jobs without been paid.hence is impossible to bypass these fees.

You also could decrease transaction fees if you pay them with an exchange's native token. In most cases, you'll pay twice as little. It works with Kukoin, Bancor, Binance for sure.

After I read on github, with ERC-825 we can send tokens but use the token as a fee. I'm also interested in this

Nah, just another nonsensical rumor. Eth transactions and contract executions always carry a fee, even if sometimes it can be really tiny for a cheap gas price.

I do not think that is possible because eth network is based on transaction fee and gas, while it is possible to reduce the cost by lowering gas but do remeber that it can increase the time for the transfer to complete.

I've searched for this ERC-825 and it turns out that this is a real thing and it's a project of bitclave.
You guys can read more about it here: https://medium.com/bitclave/do-not-pay-transaction-fees-in-ethereum-21a9dccaaf63

Their github discussions: https://github.com/ethereum/EIPs/issues/827

According to there, it is still unsafe and not suitable for use.

Hmmm.. I see so this seems to have been tested on ropsten or other testnet, but can't be used publicly yet? I'm still learning about this erc after the post above and I'm very interested about this.  Shocked Shocked

For others post, I'm sorry I can't reply one by one.

I think sending ETH/token without fee is very much possible because I have experienced such a situation in one of the projects called Nexty; this is a project that can make instant transfer without fee through the blockchain technology. Check it here: https://Nexty.io

I think it might be like this. But I could not find it yet. If ETH can be traded without a fee, it would be a very good step. It's a lot of potential and secure. It's future is much better.

Yes this is quite possible. Based on the daily transactions you'll get zero or discount on transaction fees. Someone has already mentioned the process. Hopefully you got it.

i understand it sounds bit odd and impossible but the truth is it is actually possible now, the authority has published this facility for the users. but still is hasn't earn much popularity among the users that is why most of the people are still not conscious about it.
