It's 3am here and bloody hell it's bright as day thanks to the colour outlay of this forum. How hard would it be to implement a day/night mode switch button to this site? If it's already done then I do apologize and I will remove this thread ASAP. Just looking at the screen is an eye sore, I could turn the lights on of course but I family member wouldn't be happy with it on at all.

There was some talk of this a little while back bot sure whatever came of it. I usually just turn down my brightness... or go to sleep  Wink

Here is a thread with a work around, and you can bring up most of the discussion on the topic by typing night mode in the search bar.

Use f.lux to help with the eye strain. It makes the screen yellowish (less blue) and lets you turn down the brightness of the screen. It's a life-changing software.

I tried a similar software few year back it helps to a certain degree. If you want to have the background black you can simply use some chrome extension that change the background color automatically.

I don't think it's necessary to implement day/night mode for this forum. As well as forum background is not colorized. It's looking fine. If some time I feel problem then I use my mobile brightness. It's almost helpful for me. I didn't used any external software.

Flux can only adjust the brightness, dark theme is better for surfing at night.
Some useful thread about dark theme here:

I think so. Sometimes looking very hurt eyes. Because my job is busy I use it at 1 am. There should be a day and night mode so that we can use it without any eye strain.

I just bought a new monitor from Newegg (and didn't pay with bitcoin, BTW), and it has a "night light" feature that turns the blue down.  Apparently blue light inhibits melatonin production, which makes it harder to sleep come night time.  I just read something about that briefly and will have to look into it more.  Either way, it's a great feature that my old monitor didn't have.

That's nothing like the night mode my Android has, though.  I really would like to see a true night mode that turns the background black, like Youtube has.  And as mentioned, this has been discussed.  I'm sure Theymos has read the suggestion, but he doesn't seem to be supporting it.

It's looking fine.
It does look fine, and the forum works great overall, but I think it'd be a nice feature for people who want it.
