I have attached a chart of the performance of the ICO market this year, it is on a rapid decline. I predicted this would happen in January due the introduction of Airdrops and I thought they would take off. What do you guys think? Are airdrops and the bearish market the reason why ICO participation is falling off a cliff.

The number of people who is trading cryptos reduced because we have 7-month down trend and it's almost impossible to earn money for most traders. No traders want to buy new tokens listed after ICO even the high rated projects lisk Atonomi, OneLedger, CardStack etc. Nobody wants to buy new tokens or invest in ICO now.

The main reason I see about this current drop on ICOs are the FUDs that circulate in media which make some legit ICO look like scam. We to better believe in ICO to success rather than believe in negatives.

There is no connection between airdrops and decrease of ICO funding. Airdrops have been in crypto for a long time, they haven't just appeared this year.
I've seen statistic and in april-june ICO collected the same amount as in last aug-september,so yeah, there is a decrease, but I think it is connected with market conditions

Just because of bearish market a lot of investor have fear to loss any amount of money. Most ICO price isnt show the same  on the price when last sale ended. So what use of investing if at the end will not gain any profit, not just no profit. More sad is to loss money because price is drop down

Investors  want to make quick money from Cryptocurrency without loosing a single penny. This lack of patience leads to uncertainty. Hence, they end up criticising the crypto and not investing on it.

I would say one of the factors would be the scam and fraud in the market affects it intensively. It destroys the reputation of ICO and thus we get crippled.

Most ICO projects have unrealistic implications. It is difficult to implement it. And the market from early 2018 is the bear market. Prices drop continuously after each day. And investing in ICOs during this time is always a loss. Not really profitable as in 2017. So many people have limited investment in ICO

Of course ICO investments have fallen because of bearish market for a long time now. It’s not profitable as it used to be and majority of people just want to flip and get rich fast with ICOs. And since that’s not how it works lately we have less and less ICO investors.

The current status is very difficult for all participants in Cryptocurrency. I think if there is no capital from ICO investors then this market will enter a new phase and will be very difficult to recover in the next few years. Personally, this chart is showing exactly and I believe August will be the worst month in Cryptocurrency.

I do not notice a decrease in investors ' interest in the ICO.All good projects have collected hard cap.It can be concluded that investors have simply become more cautious and more attentive when choosing an ICO.And that's right

No, I don't think airdrops and the bearish market are the reason why ICO falling off. Just everyone saw thru all the ICO's trick and more resistant to the trash ICO.

Many investors believed that the new tokens will grow in price, as well as the Crypto currency in 2017.

Now this is a rarity. When investors make money by investing in ICO

Because profit on ICO investment has fallen for last 6 months.
It was the investment of regular money players that brought cryptomarket and ICO market with sudden rise in previous year.
Almost every ICO investment made x10 in a short period of time and everyone jumped into it. Now they're regretting.

I think that this idea is fully justified, because recently the market is full of new projects and the bitcoin price is getting lower and lower, that's why people lose interest in crypto-currencies. It's clear.

Well, right now I see that a lot of factors influence that cause. First, the crypto market is in a bearish trend.
Then, a lot of ICO project seems don't have any good idea or product to sell to the investors.

People invest in things they find profitable. Last year every ICO were profitable be it a good one or scam. Scams like bitcoinconnect too made huge profit to initial investors.
And as the number of scams went on increasing, people started losing their money.
Good ICOs still are getting funded but investors have became selective and cautiousness about scams.

Introducing an airdrops is a part of a projects,  to get pull some investors and to get in into the projects, and the reasons why projects funds fallin within a couple of months, its because of price manipulation by some stakes holders who wants to get that coins/tokens in cheap price and not the airdrops. Although it has a huge amount to be given away, by each person who joined the airdrop it is just a cents and cannot affect the price of the ico tokens/coins in the markets.

I don't think airdrops could cause a significant fall to ICO fundings, airdrops are only little in terms of percentage to its total token supply. the current status of the market is the major reason why ICOs don't get big funds as before the dip on January started. People are more afraid now to jump in esp those first timers or newbies.
