Been mining for 2-3 days in this pool, and not even a single DOGE!!!
Yes, for a small pool like us it takes a bit longer to find a block.
On the pool stats page you can currently find the following statistics:
Est. Avg. Time per Round (Network) 1 minute 5 seconds
Est. Avg. Time per Round (Pool) 120 hours 26 minutes 35 seconds
Est. Shares this Round 69211458 (done: 92.63%)
This means the whole network needs about a minute to find a block which is the normal block rate for dogecoin.
Our pool with only 10 MH/s needs about 120 hours on average to find a block. We have been mining since sunday with speeds over 1 MH/s so we are now at about 92% of that first round.
I have seen a pool with 10x of our hashrate not finding a block for over 40 hours. The next block took them just a few hours. Its all about luck in the end.
Bigger pools find blocks more often but the block payout is split between hundreds of miners. There you might get 500 doge/day. In a small pool that finds a block every 10 days you might get 5000/doge every 10 days. In the end it evens out.
Getting more miners into the pool certainly helps with finding blocks faster.
If we are extremely unlucky it might take another few days to find a block. That's why we will increase the block finder bonus once we hit 100% shares for this round to keep things interesting.
