I just received the following email, apparently from yahoo62278 or a user called Fourge with an investment opportunity.
Its probably some scam attempt from somebody since I didnt get any PM here on BTT from those users.
I have also never been a part off any of yahoo62278 campaigns.
The email I received this on is not associated with my BTT account.

I haven't clicked on the links and I am not sure if I am allowed to post them here so I will just make a screenshot of the content and maybe you can take a look at it and tell me what it is and if I can post the links for someone to check?

I havent, I havent reported anyone since I dont have proof who sent the message. I havent received anything here over PM. An admin will probably take a look and decide what to do.
I have PMed yahoo62278 just so that he knows that someone is mentioning his name in connection to this.

Topic belongs in Reputation, move it there.

Did you get the PM by Fourge or not? Use Report to Admin(select hilariousandco preferably), to verify the authenticity.

I didnt get any PM, just the email claiming that a PM was sent. But the email was sent to en email address that is not associated with my BTT account.
Just to confirm, this is the section I should move the thread to https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=129.0 ?

Do you have another account in this forum associated with that email address?
Judging by the look of the email, it seems legit, so there must be an account in this forum connected to that address. Unless somebody faked that email and sent it to you.

No, I dont have any other account.
Maybe the PM got deleted by a mod? Doesn't look like a fake email, otherwise, he wouldn't have put yahoo's fake PM inside a quote and it wouldn't say "by Fourge".

Mods can't delete PMs unless reported,I guess. And the email isn't associated to OP's bitcointalk account.

I didnt get any PM, just the email claiming that a PM was sent. But the email was sent to en email address that is not associated with my BTT account.
Perhaps someone else used that email of yours in their bitcointalk account? Or email was fake, but it doesn't look like it.

This is not anything being sent from me or my account. Someone is trying to mess with users here using my name. I would suggest not clicking on any links sent to anyone in this email

My guess is some idiot sent himself a pm to his alt account and inserted my name into it. Then is pmming other users a quoted email or something stupid, but i'm def not sending anyone any of these emails or pms. I don't even mess with ethereum. I have accepted a couple payments(small payments) from companies but mainly mess with btc only.

I immediately got this letter in the spam folder. why are you trying to prove something by reading letters from the spam folder?
I think yahoo62278 itself has nothing to do with this!

I am not trying to prove anything mate nor do i think that he has anything to do with this. Just trying to find out what it is. Nowhere did I state that yahoo62278 is responsible for this. I even PMed him to check this thread so that he knows that someone is using his name for some weird spam.

The report of the OP was very informative to us not to fool in this scammer maybe this is trying to use the reputation that yahoo's had.

Yes, stay safe and protect your investments. I am still trying to figure out what this is exactly. Maybe a redirection to a phishing site or just using a familiar name to gain more trust in a shady investment.
