Hello people,

I was curious who you think will win the American 2020 election. This can be anyone as some people might announce their campaign later. Please explain why you think this person would be fit for the position.

It's pretty heard to say, so early out. Heck, it's usually pretty hard to say right before the elections. I found a list of some potential candidates. Some people say that Oprah has hinted at it. I think that's fairly unlikely, but if she ran, I think she'd have very big success. Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson has talked about running for president too. I think he could also have some good potential. Perhaps we'll see Trump come up against Romney, just like Obama did. I hope that Romney would have a better chance after all the ridiculous things Trump is doing.

Yes, Mitt Romney and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson are good for U.S President in 2020.

It's time for Donald Trump to go.

Who will win and who is fit for the position - two completely different things. "Fit" people rarely get nominated, let alone elected. So what's your real question?

Given the batshit polarization of the electorate Trump could win in 2020. There are probably 100m+ people who would be better fit for the position but don't underestimate Democrats' ability to find the one that isn't.

Yeah I prefer to see Trump again.
Where can you find a brave man that could make Americans look dump again? (no offense for the cool guys who didn't vote).
In addition, trade war is so benefic for the American economy, who don't want to buy goods with +30% its old price?
Who cares about Canadians and Europeans? Why should US endorse Japan? Putin and Kim rox!

Mr.Trump will win again because he's doing very well his job now. American economy under Trump's term saw high growth rate - 6%. Unemployment is falling down to 4.1% in December 2018 while in December 2017 is 4.7%. The stock market also grows in a positive way. Mr.Trump is doing everything for American and ignore all haters. God bless Mr.Trump.

This 1000%

Our current political landscape isn't one which attracts the best people to the political lifestyle. It attracts the worst type of people, in my view at least, as I think the best people stay in the private sector to reap the rewards which are offered from being involved in the private sector.

In the 2016 election, any other Democratic candidate could have beaten Trump, without a doubt. The Democrats rigged it and picked Clinton, and failed horribly when their 'golden ticket' lost.

The entire Democratic party is dumb enough to pick someone who is exactly like her for 2020, an establishment candidate who is hated by the American people. They will do it, and they will lose to Trump.

I must say that if Trump does win the spin battle, and the regular battle on this trade war he's going to be the President until 2024. He tells people what they want to hear, and then does his best to enact on his promises. He's an entertainer, and people love that.

I wouldn’t be surprised to see someone like Adam Schiff or some other committee chair making a move.

Most likely Trump will win the 2020 election. He has been working for it pretty much since he has been elected, he managed to win the election with careful PR moves, I am quite sure he will win the next one with such.

It is very hard to predict who is going to win the U.S presendial election in 2020. I hope that Donald Trump doesn't gets re-elected. He is going to bring the country further down. He has been involved in so many scandals and controversies that it would be a miracle of he becomes the preseident again.

You mean it would be a repeat of the last miracle of a win?

Like the miracle of Trump becoming best friends with Hermit King?

Like the miracle of the economy?

Wait...So True does miracles?

The democrats have drifted so far left we can never afford to let them win again..

Trump is far from perfect but he has saved the future of the free world..

If hillary would have gotten those 2 scotus pics, so far, all hope would have been lost..

As a somewhat popular incumbent, Trump will have a big advantage. He'll especially have an advantage if the Democrats win the House this year and then spend two years doing nothing but investigating Trump scandals; it'd be similar to the Bill Clinton impeachment pushback.

The Democrats don't have a great lineup of possible candidates. Cory Booker and Kamala Harris seem to be the two main front-runners, but IMO they're far too establishment to win against Trump. Bernie is probably too far left, and the Democratic party won't let him win the primary anyway. Biden is very popular, but he's also very old; he'd be a shoe-in if he were 10 years younger, though he might still be the best option. As ridiculous as it sounds (and is), Oprah Winfrey might be able to pull it off due to her large fanbase, even though she's even less ideological/intellectual than Trump.

At this point I'd give Trump 2-to-1 odds. The biggest question is really how successful the deep state will be at undermining him rather than any real political factors.
