It was just false advertising. The highest speed I got out of them is around 4mh, more stable at 3.8mh. What I believe lightning did was keep restarting the miners until the pool show that kind of speeds at the start. Sometimes when you start the miners a unit can show 800kh/s, but thats for like 5 mins. Over time it averages out to 350-400kh per unit. Cheers

Small review .... concerning installation of 40 gridseed miners ... even if setting up one miner looks really easy ... it's not if your gona setup 40 in a limited space enviroment .... and this doesn't include setting up software and maintaining stability ... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3CeBZtRvkzQconcerning the software and stability .... I will write later some stuff ... just a short summary ....

The cabinet you've put them in, is that some standard IKEA like thing? As I'm going to need something that's easy to move/use I'm curious for something standardized.

Thx for the pics and the video They seem to be quite noisy.. Did you have a look at the fans and can you say if they are standard size and mounted in a standard way? If guess they took the cheapest fans they could find in all of China. I might want to replace the fans some day then. I have a secret place with "free energy", but this works only as long as the equipment not too noisy..

I had the same idear ... probably its possible to just remove the fans and add over 4 of them a silent 200mm fan this should work out ... but noise is at the moment to lowest concerns I got ... stability ... concerning .. the controllers ... is more of a problem ... right now it seems that the most reliable controller is the one straight from gridseed ... the wiibox controller ... 1 of the 3 lightningasic controllers is stable the other one semis stable .... right now stable for 8 hours ... and the last one ... is bricked i think ... ... so ... I need to workaround ...

I see... Did you try connecting them to a computer? I'm not sure if it works (I heard rumors that it's difficult with more than 4, but that sounds strange to me), but if you have like 40 units, it's no big difference in power consumption if you have e.g. a laptop with win7 running, and this should as stable as it gets, no? But maybe I'm wrong, I have to admit I don't really understand the reason why we are supposed to use a controller at all (except for some minor savings in energy consumption compared to a laptop or raspberry pi..)
