First I would like to clarify that I am neither atheist nor devout Christian. I am an agnotheist (I believe that there is supreme being but he is unknown). I met few friends online who claimed that they were atheist and this is what they told me: God is more wicked than Satan, Satan punished those who are sinners while God punished everyone even those people who have been good to him and spent their life worshipping Him.

If you are going to compare wickedness, you need a way to measure such a concept. There are few things we can all agree are wicked besides murder, so let's use murder as a way to compare god vs satan Throughout the entire bible, Satan is only blamed with killing Job's family, and only because god had a bet with Satan and taunted him into it. God is blamed with the murder of millions and millions of people: The great flood The tower of babel Sodom and Gomorrah The 7th & 10th plagues of Egypt Someone actually made a list if you are interested. Satan is actually a creature that is most hated by God, and someday God will put Satan into hell forever, but before Satan is put into hell, Satan asks permission from God so that he can tempt humans to become friends later on hell.

God is good and there is no wickedness in him. We can not compare the creator with the creations. If it is not the goodness of God some of us could not be alive today base on the desire of our enemies on us. I have see the goodness of God in my life and the love of my saviour Jesus Christ.

some have doubted and found evidence, its for me however difficult to define the nature of god, i doubt he is humanistic.. unfortunately god is being described humanistic only if muslims are dominated by a humanist wordly state like the usa. |

It just reminds me on a statistics I came across some time before Somebody's just calculated the number of kills made in Bible by God and Satan on their own (exept thouse millions of victims of the global flood) And the score was about ~3mil : ~20 in favor of the God I'm an agnostic anyway and value the Bible only as a cultural, historical and moral unit. But this stats just schocked me  |

According to my understanding, God didn't kill a human life. We chose to do evil and rebel, so death was a result of this original evil.
If I ask an atheist how many did God kill, atheist would say "0" because they don't believe in God.

Well, this is of course a very philosophical question. I think that the answer is not realistic, especially if a person does not believe in anything. Each person will have their own opinion, and everyone will be right

I am not a literary expert, but between these two fictional characters, I would say the Christian God is more wicked. God is like a CEO, Satan is just a regional branch manager, appointed by God. God organized his business and is ultimately responsible for all the wickedness in the Christian story. |

No believing in something with no proof is considered wickedness by your god. Choose another one. You have it backwards. Believing something that you know (have proof for) is something you can't do. Since there is proof (nature and the universe) for God, one can't believe that He exists... because we know it. But one can believe what God says until He is proven right by it happening. Then one can't even believe that any longer, because he knows it. |
