i assume as soon as the wallet is release.
solo mining is easy.

it's always the same config (at least what I do) so you can be prepared when it's ready.

perfectcoin.conf

server=1
gen=0

rpcuser=justausername
rpcpassword=anypasswordyoulike
rpcport=9999
rpcallowip=*

and then you would just connect to localhost:9999 with the username and password you entered above.
