Was the mnemonic phrase you tried to enter, given to you by the same wallet (samourai) ?
Usually the mnemonic phrase (if written down correctly) should recover all of your keys.
If you are sure you have written it down correctly, you might try to import it into another wallet.
The derivation path when importing the seed into a different wallet (e.g.
electrum) depends on the address-type you have used.
- Legacy (P2PKH, starting with 1..): m/44'/0'/0'
- Nested segwit (P2SH, starting with 3..): m/49'/0'/0'
- Native segwit (bech32, starting with bc1..): m/84'/0'/0'
You should be able to see your funds once you import your seed (and choose the correct derivation path) inside electrum.
But i don't have an explanation for your funds not appearing on your mobile (except for a wrong/different mnemonic phrase).
I'm not able to use my seeds in Electrum because it's 12 words seed, not 24 word and yes,it was given me by the same wallet (Samourai)
Hello guys,
Today,I wanted to get access to my Samourai Bitcoin Wallet but I forgot about the pin code,so I decided to use the backup by reinstalling the app (The app automatically detects if a backup is available in my device or not) so I was asked to give my passphrase which I have written down when I first created the wallet;it doesn't work.So I turned myself to my mnemonic phrase that I have also written down,it do backup a wallet with 0 funds....
Help is highly appreciated!
You did something wrong in process of restoring wallet with mnemonic secret words, some word has been incorrectly entered or your wallet passphrase is incorrect. In such a case Samourai advises that the procedure is repeated, of course with maximum precision when entering secret words/passphrase. It is very easy to type wrong letter if you use smartphone keyboard.
In case you made something wrong regarding recovery, there is step by step text&video tutorial :
Restore your Samourai Wallet with your secret wordsI always write down my seeds and passphrases,I've tried more than 10 times, didn't work.I'm pretty sure that they are correct as I always triple check when creating a wallet.
