Im doing right now a rundown on all price comparing sites to find the best price for each card.
Then I find the price to kh/s ratio but this is more problematic because ulike the price I cant really be sue about that hashrate.

First of all, i have or have had Toxic, Vapor-x, Dual-X, Asus and Gigabyte 290x`s. And some 7870, 7950 and 7970`s.
But i have also spent many hours every day on this forum for almost a year. What most people get out of a 280x, is around
750kh/s, so the toxic (and Vapor-X too) are superrior. When in comes to powerconsumption, it might be a whole other story.

The only reason the Toxics are nice is because they use nice RAM, and a nice triple fan cooler. You can find those perks in other cards as well, without the overpriced "Toxic" name.

Any Elpida card should be capable of at least 700, often closer to 730. Any Hynix card should be able to hit at least 750, often closer to 775, and some even over 800.

When it comes to coolers, that's where you can't skimp. I've heard MSI has cheap fans, and certain Sapphires run into throttling. And ofc, 3 fans are almost always > 2.

We've got dozens of Gigabyte 280x. The slowest one is ~740kh/s, and the fastest are 805kh/s. Triple fan design keeps them cool, while still silent. I don't know why you'd buy Toxics for $100 more than the Gigabytes.

That`s simply because you are the first person i have ever seen posting hashrate over 800 on the gigabyte. And both my 7950 and 7970 Gigabyte was slow compared to any other GPU i have had. On the plus side, they where very silent and kept very cool. The only gpu`s i could keep mining in my livingroom.

Apparently they all can get the same also much higher hashrate if the memoery timings are calculated properlly ou can do t yourself but you have to write code to make it wrok better or send donation to someone at litecoin send your bios and he does it for you. Maybe there is a program already made for that and its just difficult to find.

if you can get the 280x at MSRP (or did) then it's probably the best card.

if you're paying current prices, an R9 270(non-x) for ~200 will be the best bet. prices are going up though so you have to shop around.

keep an eye on BTCstore and they occasionally have some 270s and 270xs in stock for MSRP USD value (eq in BTC). so that will be your best bet for non-retarded pricing.

personally i bought 2x 7950s in Nov for $150each (flipped one for $250) and a 5970 for free, so thats been my best deal Cheesy
