That is why bitcoin is the most trustworthy and secure investment vehicle in the crypto space. There are lots of altcoins in the market but for me bitcoin is still the best bet of them all.

bitcoin is best ... not because of its price but because of its utility. because it is the only decentralized currency that works properly and with sufficient security that you can trust is actually immutable. when you buy 1BTC it will remain 1BTC and won't change due to a fork or a roll back,... that so many of the altcoins even the big ones have. then that makes its price also rise.

as for the "FUD spreaders", unfortunately most of them are the same weak hands that have been buying bitcoin emotionally and irrationally and causing the volatility that we specifically see these days.

I definitely agree with you on this. What I love most about bitcoin is the support of the community like us that truly believes in the technology. So no matter how bearish the market is, we still remain to get a hold of our investments in bitcoin or might even take advantage of the opportunity for us to add more bitcoin investments due to the price drop that's happening.

It is normal that they didn't understand the normality of bitcoin price's fluctuation, most of them are just people who get drawn to bitcoin because they heard that somebody got rich quick by investing into it after all. Since they didn't research about bitcoin's history, it is a given that they only know little about its volatility. Either way, bitcoin being the best in a bearish market IMO is not the result of its utility but instead, it is the result of the trust of the community bitcoin itself has built up over the years.

Only Bitcoin Cash shillers really say that though, and it seems the larger cryptocurrency community doesn't really take them seriously. It's also incorrect to assume that Bitcoin is against block size increases anyway, as the Lightning Network white paper itself says it will be necessary down the line, making their statements ignorant and irrelevant:

block size increase in the long term. Creating a credible tool to help prevent

Just understand that bitcoin is one of the only cryptocurrencies that are actually created to benefit the users, instead of to benefit the creators of the coin. The commercialisation of cryptocurrency issuance has really brought in some completely trash projects.

In a bear market like this, I do think that bitcoin is going to be holding up its value with the least value compared to the rest of the market. We've seen this plenty of times.

And if we're talking about long term value, then there is even less debate. Bitcoin has stored its value extremely well over the last decade or so that it's been in existence, and with a limited supply, there is no question that it's going to continue to be a good store of value in hard times financial times.

It really is the best cryptocurrency in the market not just because of its versatility, security and worth but also for its popularity to many people, many investors still trusts bitcoin because not just it was the first cryptocurrency in the market but its popularity making the coin attractive. When you try to compare it with other coin in the current market, most of is doesn't survive within a year or two because it never became popular though it has the same attributes as the bitcoin they tend to slip away due to low popularity compared to bitcoin. Right now it definitely seems to be that Bitcoin is recovering more consistently than the other "houses" in the market, however it's definitely not smooth sailing even for the king of cryptos. If you look at CMC, there are some altcoins that are recovering faster, and these tend to be the very strong ones, such as TRON, EOS, NEO and ADA, so you could definitely make more money on these if you catch them at the right time.

Hey yes Bitcoins is definitely the best crypto that is available in the market, but do note bitcoins is not special because of it's price, it's special because of it's utility, for those who're not aware Bitcoins is the most secured decentralised coin. If you look over the period of time that alts were created, they were forked but not Bitcoins, some coins like bitcoins cash were burnt to create fake demand. The fud is and always going to be there, but for it's worth, the community now is wiser and stronger, we're already seeing prices moving upwards, soon a bull run should start.

well the "store of value" can be considered a sub-category of bitcoin utilities. a currency, a store of value, a distributed ledger with timestamping which can be used to store data like Land Titles (what bitfury has been doing with Georgian government),... the list goes on
