Thanks Mahkul. The transaction was successful for me too, of course. I've rated you positively with my other ratings.

-1 for Stevenbucks

I gave the gentleman over 40 BTC for two Zipit Z2s. It's been at least 3 weeks and I have nothing to show for it. He has ignored my messages so far.

Then better use this thread: https://www.bitcoin.org/smf/index.php?topic=483.0

It's cool having a list of honest traders, but very hard to add up all the +1 votes people are getting.

Maybe we should use the distributed model here. The web of trust[/url is used in cryptography, where if you can verify someone's identity, you sign their public key. Thus builds up a floating "web of trust" where no central authority governs identities, rather, the "trustworthiness" of your public key is dependent upon the number of people that have signed it, and their own trustworthiness within the system.

Perhaps we could use the same model, only in the Bitcoin world, "trust" means "this person is an honest trader". (Note that in the Web of Trust world, signing someone's key does not mean "this is a good guy," it just means "this is that person's true identity," whereas we would use it to mean actual honesty as well as identity verification.)

Sites like CoinPal/CoinCard could automatically sign your public key when you make a trade with them.

+1 for Spudzz.  A pleasure to do business with.  I will update this post if there are any chargeback issues.
