Hi,

Just a quick question.

Im looking at other psus to power my gpu rigs and stumbled across an IBM 1975w Emerson. From what I can see the connections look like they will take the dps2000bb/2500bb breakout board but just wanted to ask you knowledable lot to confirm it.

I dont need a psu over 2000w really as each rig doesnt draw more then 960w but the Emerson doesnt look like it requires any other fans to be attached.

Im currently using a 1500w HP common slot and the small fan really screams in this heat. The larger fan on the Emerson would be perfect for cooling.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Hi Philip,

Yea those are the psu im enquiring about.

well I have been looking for a pinout and can't find one , but if you are will to buy one to test and it is a fail I will spring for 35 usd towards the fail.  Lowers your risk to test it out and helps other miners if they buy it.

I am not sure I have any of those breakouts or I would test it my self.  looks like it would be good for a lot of other gear.

Thanks for looking philip. I tried myself for quite some time before I admitted defeat and asked on here. Ill purchase the board and psu this evening and hopefully it wont take too long to arrive (board is coming from russia but looks well built with added voltage adjustment). I appreciate the offer of the risk management too  Smiley

Well it seems that the breakout board for dps-2000/2500 is NOT compatible with the Emerson 1975w psu. Same eight power blades but the other connector is different. I was in talks with ABVmining to see if a breakout board could be made but molex told him the connector for the Emerson is no longer manufactured  Sad
