Hi. Wonder if you guys can help me in some of the issues that i had regarding 'signature campaigns'.
Here's what I have understood so far about the basic concept of it.
Basically, having a sigil, a badge, a namecard... of some project stuck to your profile so that you can indirectly promote their said project. This is followed by a compensation of sorts, in accordance with how many quality content posts/replies that you have made.. well this is how far I have understood it, tell me if I'm wrong.
Anyhoo, in order to make the said compensation (mostly in forms of financial methods, yes?), the team of the said project must be able to track how the users with their signature are doing - they need to count the posts, replies, decide which is legit for payment and whatnot. This is mostly done by campaign managers I believe? So, if, hypothetically, there is no campaign manager involved and the task is up to the project's team, how would one conduct such research? Like, how do you determine how many posts/replies a person has made on a specific topic?
Is there an advanced search option somewhere that I am not seeing?
Also, if the said project is not planning to utilize an escrow account, well maybe cause they have trust issues for the market, would that be detrimental? give off the wrong image to the potential legendary/hero signature-bearers? Would it be bad enough that the team may have to reconsider their choices and make the said escrow thingi? A general direction to creating the said account would be also very helpful.

Thank you for your time in advance.

You seem to have gotten the things right.

Like, how do you determine how many posts/replies a person has made on a specific topic?

My guess is that they are not interested in such metrics.
If they don't want posts in certain areas they just don't pay for those posts. For example some may rule out local boards, or even the altcoins area.

Especially at the campaign start, either a trusted campaign manager, either an escrow for funds would be needed. In many cases the campaign manager also keeps some funds.
If this condition is not met, there can be a trust issue and especially higher rank users may not be interested to join that certain signature campaign.

About "reconsidering", well, I am sure that if the campaign manager is less known and there's no escrow, some people will start asking about it as soon as the campaign is posted.
Lower ranks are less careful and may hurry to jump in.

When you join a campaign, you have to register there by filling a form, in that form you have to add your Bitcointalk profile link. When you add that link campaign manager can check all your posts. in most campaigns managers check posts weekly and give stakes, and in some campaigns posts are counted at the end of the campaign. There is no issue counting posts, you can see your posts when you go to PROFILE >>Show the last posts of this person. So it's actually easy to count.

why do you need a escrow? we have to give them our public wallet address  when filling the form, so they can send tokens at the end of the campaign.

This is simple, all what the campaign manager need to do is to check your profile and see your posts for the duration he's interested in, it'll be shown under 'show posts" from Profile.

Remember you submitted your profile link before you were accepted for the signature campaign.

I think BTT don't have that kind of advanced search option, Bounty managers or auditor is doing it manually they will just go to your profile and they will count and check the quality of your post/replies. Your reply and post have dates on it so they can easily check if your post count is qualified for that given week.

Just a side note ... I already saw bounty managers who didnt count posts in some boards like 'Offtopic'. Other bounty managers dont count posts in local boards. You have to properly read the rules prior to joining a campaign, otherwise you may waste your time.

Yes, you have got the basic concept --- Members apply to join a signature capaign >> Member post quality posts >> Campaign manager count the qualifying posts >> Campaign manager pay the member.  Wink

The campaign manager does not use a special search feature to count the posts, they simply click on the members profile and then choose this option at the bottom of the page --> http://prntscr.com/kgiy5i

Some campaigns place funds received for the signature campaign in escrow as proof that it is not a scam campaign that will not pay at the end of the week or month, when people are supposed to be paid.  Wink
