It's a bit fun reading the topics and the panic people have when bitcoin was less than $1000. I believe most of us have once said "if I could back to 2009 I would have bought bitcoins" you know the choice between red and blue pill? where the blue can take you years back with all the knowledge you have now versus to the instant million dollar pill. So I console myself, even if bitcoin is around $6000 now, that this could be cheap price still years from now..

Bitcointalk, which records a decade or so of BTC development, followed by some altcoin development history, is a good place for us to study encryption.

BitcoinTalk is a good database for studying trends in the crypto currency market. It all depends on you, whether you can perceive this information and draw the right conclusions.

I believe this is only the beginning too. As time goes by and innovations come to bitcoin it is really good the bitcointalk records everything. We can check what happens before and what struggles devs encountered on a certain BIP. Which is great as references to avoid similar problems.

if you say history is a repetition, you can't say the decline of bitcoin is unexpected!
bitcoin has crashed and always come back stronger. people who are selling now to leave bitcoin for good are making a mistake and clearly Didn't learn from history!

Bitcointalk is not only a history channel that remembers everything that happens to us and cryptocurrencies. Bitcointalk is the place where history is happening. New cryptocurrencies are created and die, Bitcoin develops... All of this is happening partly here. Not to be unfounded: since January 19, 2014, the Bitcointalk forum began an open discussion, the purpose of which was to create a cryptocurrency from scratch. As a result, this discussion formed the basis of the nem cryptocurrency. History is happening on Bitcointalk.

One of my favorite things to do is actually to go back and check out the older threads. This forum has definitely become full of history. Even lazlos post about buying the two pizzas for 10,000 Bitcoin is still up. It's funny to see how far we have come in terms of price and adoption. The forum is also like 100x larger than what it was as well, many people joined in 2017. If you want a clear picture of Bitcoins adoption and, like I said, how far we have come, just read this forum.

I totally agree.People say a lot and talk down of bitcoin. But many years back the unit value was below 1 usd. Now it has dominated the crypto world.Being devalued a little bit doesn't say that it is going to die.In my perspective at the end of the year the value will look good.

You are right. We can't really predict the future of bitcoin's value but with as the difficulty of mining bitcoins increases then its value will increase as well. So few years from now or a decade from now, the price that we see today would potentially be doubled or even be more than that. So let's stop being an emotional investor and try to take advantage of this moment for we might not be able to purchase this specific price of bitcoin in the following years.

Bitcointalk reminds me of the market development from inception to the present. How things have been faring in the Crypto world. Currently, bitcoin value is still highly undervalued but man will say "It's going to come down more", until it rocks to the sky and man will shout "I miss the train".

To believe that all markets are cyclical, it is meaningless to discuss the price fluctuation every day. BTT forums do record every moment we've had before, and it's really helpful to look at previous posts for our anxiety.

What it is interesting about reading old topics is that you will see the same worries except that you are going to see different user names and different prices but that is all, there was a time long time ago when people wanted a parity between the dollar and bitcoin, yes they were expecting for each bitcoin to be worth the huge amount of 1 dollar each and now look at the price, so in the future in 10 or 20 years, future members will laugh at our worries of seeing the price at 6k.

I agree. It's in bitcointalk where we can read our struggles from the time it started and up to the present times where people have developed more knowledge and skills on how to deal with the market.Bitcointalk is also a great help to those newcomers who want to learn more on cryptocurrency and eventually making investments in it in the latter part.

A place where you can learn more about cryptocurrency, this is like a cryptochannel where you can learn anytime and anywhere. Good place for newbies, treaders and hodlers, so happy that someone created this forum.

I do feel the same. If I believe what my friend told me few years back I would find ways to have a capital and buy more bitcoins. Reading the experiences of some investors here makes me inspired.

Yes, there is plenty of potential still in the market, but just as before there is uncertainty. Truth be told the majority of bitcoin buyers in the early years sold long ago. Very few people bought and expected the market to be where it is today.

you are right, right now we think that bitcoin is very expensive because the price is in $6000 right? maybe in next 10 years the price of bitcoin can be $50000 so in that time we think that the price of bitcoin in 2018 is very cheap, hahaha its a paradox
