Bookmark all of those crypto websites that you are using as well.
There are deceitful websites that aims to target newbies and not careful with their wallets.
Changing few letters at the middle of the name and rumbling it. Someone whos not aware of this trick will fall.

Those are some great tips given on the site, but many of those are very obvious or known to us all. The best way to avoid getting phished is to google site before manually entering the site through url bar. You will highly likely get the real site from googles search engine or at least some information if that site is a scam. Secondly, make sure if you copy paste a link, make sure you are not a victim of clipboard malware. These virus usually end up changing what you have copied. Though more tips are known by us,but yet many people here are not familiar on those meaning this is still helpful to our crypto community..even me i have some things in OPs tips that first time captured my attention so for OP keep it up and continue finding those hacking materials so we will be safe and secured

It seems that there are a lot of phishing wandering around out there right now. So you have to be more careful when you enter a suspicious website. You can bookmark the official website. That will prevent you from entering the phishing website in my opinion. So please be careful and protect what you have.

actually to protect from phishing attacks is quite easy and can be done. especially if you use security such as antivirus and activate a firewall. technically it will be blocked directly. so it's easy if you want to avoid phishing attacks

That's why in this business reading is very important, do not draw conclusion from the surface, you need to read everything and once you see any addition on the site name or subtraction don't think is an error, that may be a scam site stay away.
At all costs your duty is always to protect your crypto no matter what. This is your bread and butter so yiu can't afford to lose it and let other stole it from you. You must always keep it safe with you and be sure that it is secured. Please always be careful as your account's security depends on your own protection of it. Act wisely with efficiency.

We all want to protect ourselves from being phished. And this is indeed a great initiative to help those, especially the newbies to get themselves secured. Just the further clarity of how it is done would have helped us to get assurance.

This is really a very useful thing, but I think that people need to be just a little more attentive, then you do not have to use third-party services.

There has been many news and rumors on hacking of cryptocurrencies. Hacking has also made a few companies go bankrupt. In order to protect our crypto we must use offline wallets or hardware wallets. Also we must double check the links and for anything that seems suspicious because the carelessness of the users is the main reason of scams.

Though the article is from CoinPoker but it should be very helpful for the whole community as they can apply it anywhere. As recent studies has shown that people getting scammed and hacked through phishing links mostly happens because of the carelessness of the users. So, we should know first how to avoid getting scammed like this.

This is a good thread and i would like to get this thread on top for the awareness it will bring to the bitcoin investors or individual who are holding crypto. This is really important because our crypto has a value that could be use when emergency arises. There are many kinds of phishing here and it is up to you how you will going to identify the phishing activities. More or less it could be done by having a good offer and that eventually will lead you to disclose your private key to your digital wallet.

very helpful statement but of course we will keep crypto assets from phishing and I have some tips to avoid that 1. always check the domain address before entering the website 2. always check the incoming email, sometimes those who are not responsible for sending messages resemble the original message from the official website 3. do not be tempted by an unclear appendage

A lot of people laugh at the fact that people fall for phishing. It can literally happen to anybody. It happens to even the most intelligent and experienced people. There's so very good advice on the OP's link. Thanks for sharing. You have to be extremely careful with any links or attachments you receive in your email. I always check very closely the email address of the sender. If you ever feel that an email is suspicious, do NOT click any links. If you think it may be real, but you're not sure, contact the supposed sender directly. Go to their website as you know how to. Ask them if they sent the email. If it was phishing, they'll be happy to know about that. They may be able to warn other users or take measures to prevent future phishing.

Your right, the first shield of protection for your bitcoin or cryptocurrency is yourself. Do not allow yourself to get into website or scams sites or avoid intertaining possible hacking or getting scammed through your wrong move done by yourself.
