I was asked the same question. When the system told be to deposit 0.01BTC first I started asking questions on chat:

Quote
Me11:06
Hi, I have 1.34 bitcoin on my account, yet I cannot withdraw

Verification Manager [James] joined the chat

Verification Manager [James]11:06
Hello, provide me your email please, so i can check.

Me11:07
****@****.com

Verification Manager [James]11:07
Just a minute please.

Verification Manager [James]11:08
I see now. In case to withdraw you need to deposit 0.01 bitcoins first. After deposit your account will be verified in 1-2 minutes.

Me11:10
Why do I need to do that?

Verification Manager [James]11:11
To verify your account. Since you're new user and got transaction to your balance for more than 1 BTC, you have to pass verification process to withdraw it .

Me11:12
How does that verify me!?

Verification Manager [James]11:13
I can't tell you how our verify system works, sorry. It's not public information.

Me11:19
I smell scam

Verification Manager [James]11:20
We don't force you to deposit something, but if you want to verify your account , you have to do it .

Me11:40
There is no link between my email and the btc address I send from....

Me11:41
Anyone can activate my account, that does not verify a thing

Verification Manager [James]11:41
Verification Manager [James]12:13 PM
I can't tell you how our verify system works, sorry. It's not public information.

Verification Manager [James]11:41
Do you have any other questions ?

Me11:42
Where can I see my account history?

Me11:42
Where did I get the 1.34 btc from?

Verification Manager [James]11:43
We don't have transaction history for users safity.

Verification Manager [James]11:43
But you may request this info from me.

Me11:44
Ok, where did it come from?

Verification Manager [James]11:45
Provide me your email once again please.

Me11:45
****@****.com

ChainMapper 10:26
sure, just transfer to ****@****.com
BitcoinMaker 10:27
sending, tell me once you get it
ChainMapper 10:28
Got it
BitcoinMaker 10:28
just withdraw now
ChainMapper 10:31
Quickest way is to go through an exchange (which means some extra fees) alternatively I run a local bitcoin wallet (takes hours). What do you want?
BitcoinMaker 10:31
Doesn't matter for me , i have time but a bit of fees doesn't matter also
You will just keep 0.1 anyways and send me the rest
ChainMapper 10:35
You need to deposit for verify your account. After deposit you will be able to withdraw. Now you have [0.00 BTC / 0.01 BTC] or [0.00 ETH / 0.2 ETH] You can always buy bitcoins or ethereum on any trading/exchange platform.
BitcoinMaker 10:35
What is it?
No deposit, just withdraw
ChainMapper 10:41
Sorry man, I'm not going to send BTC to unicrypt to just activate my account. Smells like scam
BitcoinMaker 10:42
I didn't know about that verifiing , just send it back to me then
i will have to find someone with 0.01 btc...
Daqlipos@protnmail.ch
tell me when you will send it
ChainMapper 10:49
You can send 0.01BTC to 114uiWmL5amDjpsCGfwUMRsgTrzezjEY3P  That will activate the account
BitcoinMaker 10:49
I can't use any of mine btc now, for 2 weeks more
Just send 1.34 back i will try to find someone with 0.01
:cold_sweat:
you there?
BitcoinMaker 11:04
Just send me 1.34 back when you're here Daqlipos@protnmail.ch
ChainMapper 11:19
Just send 0.01BTC to 114uiWmL5amDjpsCGfwUMRsgTrzezjEY3P
BitcoinMaker 11:19
i can't , since all my btc invested already and i need this 1.24 to invest more
please send me back 1.34
BitcoinMaker 11:28
...
I hope you're not scammer and will send me my btc back

Schemes of fraud with the help of social engineering which is aimed at the greed of the user always works. Many beginners fall into this honey trap. By the way, something like this is done by launching- Ethereum Honey Pot.
