Wish I could help guys.  PityThePool appears to be working fine, chain is synchronized, blocks found are matching up with the block explorer at SunCoin.biz:

- i deleted the old blockchain from -
     (win:) %userprofile%\AppData\Roaming\SunCoin\ (be sure to keep/save/backup the wallet.dat file, or all your coins are gone forever!
- i recreated the file suncoin.conf with the info from OP
- then started the qt wallet, and presto, 21127 !

The coin was supposed to have forked at block 21120 implementing KGW diff algorithm, which should have lowered the diff dramatically, but it did not.  We appear to still be stuck at diff of 4.7

It is not very high compared to others like DOGE or MEOW.  But with the current net hashrate of under 10MH the diff should be more like 0.1
