I recently purchased a domain and hosting but its been about 10 years since I owned a domain and remember nothing. What I need is assistance with is:
1) getting an email setup at my domain
2) help remembering how the hell to go from "404" to "hello world"

I'll give $15 of btc for help with both and maybe more depending on how dumb I am. I'm only looking to build a single page domain with text and a couple images and I know the html I need for that, it's everything before it that's fuzzy. If you aren't interested but know of a good guide to link to and it helps me I'll gladly tip you, so if you post something helpful please leave an address for tips.
If your interested in helping then reply, pm, or send me a message on IRC on freenode.net /msg tunafizz
I can't imagine this will take too long.

Feeling generous?

If you haven't resolved this yet. You'll want to just go into your domain manager on the registrar's website. Go into your change DNS settings or manage DNS or add nameservers or something like that. Whatever hosing account you bought should tell you exactly what your nameservers are. usually looks something NS1.whatevernameserver.com and NS2.whatevernameserver.com. If you are using email services separate from your webhosting you'll have to update the MX recode or CNAME or something like that.

If you are hosting an a website or email service on your own machine just point the DNS settings to your public IP and forward port 80 and 8080 to your host machine on your router. Run tasksel and set up a LAMP server and email.
