Every time a block is mined, a certain amount of BTC (called the subsidy) is created out of thin air and given to the miner. The subsidy halves every four years and will reach 0 in about 130 years.

It seemed to have stopped exactly at 3 AM global middle time, according to the bitcoinwisdom trade updates anyway.

MtGox login works only on Firefox here, not Chrome or the old Opera Presto.

Blockchain.info seems to working just fine.

I've been unable to login using Chromium, Chrome and Firefox.
