Gox is not the only exchange. If and when it bites the dust I don't think it'll be bad, just people will probably flock to other exchanges and start buying more coins there which will gradually pull the price back up.

Because of Gox, the press is very bad at the moment. That can indeed lead to a drop of the price. But it will never reach the price sphere of the real early adopters  Except the security hole of bitcoin is not just a conspiracy theory

What are you planning to mine? Unless you're willing to spend a serious amount of money it's pointless trying to mine Bitcoin. I'd just take advantage of the cheap coins and invest in them that way,

Well, as not early adopter i would like to have chance to buy 1 BTC for 1$ but i am just not that lucky i guess. Bitcoin will most possibly fly again very soon.
