COIN is about community.
and you guys are not active at all (just handful of people are made some actions) and I need to say I'm really sad to see this kind of situation.
The dev itself is not as important as community is, and COIN depends on you. I'm here, active and responsive, and you need to be here as well.

COIN can't survive without your activity, your posts, your tweets, your engagement and your hashrate.
Protect your investment guys, be active part of COIN!

Hi coin-project!
Rest assured that the wheel has started rolling. Let me give you a status on my initiatives.

Yesterday:
- Contacted poloniex.com and asked to be considered for their exchange (No answer yet)
- Answered a thread on reddit in regards of COIN being excellent to solomine: http://www.reddit.com/r/altcoin/comments/1xax5t/what_can_i_solo_mine/

Today:
- Contacted coinwarz.com and asked them to add us. c-cex is unfortunately not on their list of exchanges, but I asked if it was possible anyway since our ticker can be found really easy: https://c-cex.com/t/coin-btc.json

If any of you guys have suggestions to sites where we can find miners, let me know, and I can try to contact them. Also feel free to contact them directly if you prefer that.

Let us have some action around here !  Smiley

I have been thinking about it, and believe it would be good for us to be on minimum one exchange more.
c-cex is a good exchange, but more exchanges will give more exposure as well as securing possibility to trade COIN if an exchange is down for whatever reason.

Sites contacted today:

I will let you know when I have good news.  Wink

Here is following the list of exchanges which I know about (without corresponding URLs, but I think it is quite easy to find the URLs in Google):

  • BTC-E
  • OKCoin
  • Cryptsy
  • BTC38
  • BTER
  • Crypto Rush
  • Vircurex
  • mcxNOW
  • MintPal
  • CoinEx
  • Coined-Up
  • Poloniex
  • SwissCEX
  • Atomic Trade
  • Ripple Charts
  • DGEX
  • Coins-E
  • Crypto-Trade
  • yuanbaohui
  • MasterXchange
  • C-CEX

I marked the most important ones bold. I have contacted several of them, unfortunatelly without any feedback.

wow vilgem, you sure keep list of exchanges Cheesy
will go trough the list and contact them.

we need to focus now to market the COIN, CoinMarketCap sure can help us a lot as it's a go to for coin research.
we are now somewhere in the middle of low volume list. It should not be that hard to jump up a bit.

It is a great time for miners as well. Diff is low, COIN is trending.. We will work now on new exchanges.. It's a miners dream. Unfortunately, lots of miners will join COIN to late and will miss great opportunity to mine at this low diff.
Don't be one of them. Don't think short term, take a fresh look at the great potential in COIN and think mid-long term, point your mining rigs to one of our pools and enjoy big profit in just month or two from now. Are you sure you want to miss this kind of opportunity?

EDIT:
and, yes.. by all means.. we need to switch to regular CoinMarketCap list, not low volume.. should not be that hard too (0.5 BTC in daily volume)

If we wanna COIN to be exposed to a popular exchange we need to invest money anyway. Crypto Rush will cost us aboout 3 BTC in total. This should be enough to win the first position in their list. They list a new coin once per two days. If 30 participators will invest 0.1 BTC it should be enough to get in to the exchange. Or 15 participators 0.2 BTC each.

Another approach is to bribe paying COINs. Not the best approach as the bribed COINs will be selled by exchange owners very soon and it will afect the COIN exchange rate. Another problem is that the exchange owners may refuse to accept COINs.

But the fact is: we need to expose COIN to a couple of most poopular exchanges! As soon as possible.

What do you guys think about investing some amount of your BTCs to protect you COIN investements? The important thing is that we must agree on an exchange and invest smartly.

you know my standpoint on paying to get listed.. but everyone can do what they want and what they see as a right move.
we need more exchanges, more exposure, and more services.

In my opinion getting listed at CoinMarketCap is a bigger move and bigger advantage than paying to get listed at the exchange.
CoinMarketCap is a go to site to check new coins with potential, new profitable coins and coins that are ready to take off in price. Just to move from that low volume list..

Guys, I guess we can do all of the above, so just ear me out, please:

Vilgem, can you take point on selecting/voting for an Exchange to through money at? If we can arrange for 25 supporters of COIN to pledge, I think it might be worth it, even if we get just a bit higher in the ranks. I'll be one, even though I still think it's too soon for a major exchange (you see, we still have a low number of mined coins and that makes dev's premine overly weighted - I don't see it as a problem, because our dev is clearly going for long-term, but exchange-only crypto players, and they are the majority, tend to not like such levels of advantage)

Coin-project, you think you can spare some bounty on this effort, if we can come up with a decent pledge and action plan?

let's ear it from the rest of us too! Ladies and gentlemen, please, do pitch in, your contributions are most needed Smiley

Great list! I took the liberty to add a star on the exchanges that will expose us to coinwarz.com, and added CoinMarket.io at the end.  Smiley
