I lost 0.6btc and some leftover money. In the grand scheme of things, I suppose I got lucky.

due to the damage done the loss is incalculable.

the business world functions on the law of the jungle.

there are three professors who will teach you that law.
mt gox is one of those professors.

such a brilliant idea brought down by either scammers or incompetents

the results are the same either way

Concerned that blockchain bloat will lead to centralization? Storing less than 4 GB of data once required the budget of a superpower and a warehouse full of punched cards. https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/8/87/IBM_card_storage.NARA.jpg https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Punched_card

When I started with Bitcoin 6 months ago, MtGox was the first exchange I signed up on. But they were not receiving wire transfers from my bank and my account also took long to verify, so I moved elsewhere. So luckily I never used MtGox and I thank god for that.

I found 57BTC in there a couple of months ago that I'd forgotten about. Withdrawn. Phew.

4 BTC. Not worrying though, this just cuts a small part out of my Gox trading winnings.

At this point I'm actually happy that I was not trying to arbitrage the situation.

I still think the leaked document's numbers are off. I can believe them losing the BTC (BTC is easy to lose) but where did all the fiat go? They ought to have more than that, even if they wasted a few million into rented office space and another few million into legal costs.

I own 5200 bitcoins.  Grin

I have 1 goxcoin for what it's worth =) I hope you still have some of your coins!

Lol I went on a buying spree on Gox over weekend and now either own 4200 Bitcoin or I own nothing at all and Karpeles has an extra $800k for frappucino.  It will be an interesting few weeks seeing which.

Wow. What to say? Hope it wasn't the kitchen sink and all.
