Can the quality of this forum change? It’s gotten worse as people seem to be asking the same stupid fucking  questions that they already know. There is a history of posts regarding the majority of these questions continuously asked this  does not seem to help the community or progression of this forum and bitcoin in general.

Google and do some research before adding non quality shit posts to the forum to get your shit coin airdrop.

As I see it posts are being made due to airdrops requiring people to make posts. If someone is here they should already have a decent level of information as to why bitcoin is bitcoin. Stop with the shit posts. They are not legitimate posts.

Sorry I may not have fully read the rules or questioned what the admins do but it’s repetative

I suggest looking outside of Bitcoin/Altcoin discussions and forums like this if you are looking for quality. there's way too many people just spamming something for their signature count in these parts, and well to be fair it's much easier to find an easy topic and say something without having to be very elaborate. but try check the more technical discussions it's usually more rewarding  Grin

Merit system is introduesed to curb the low quality post.  Previously one member who entered the forum was to be promoted to the next higher position.  i.e. Newbie to Junior Member to Member and so on up to Legendary.  Just period of membership and Activity count were promoting a member.
Several People were posting  inferior quality.  Now you have to post quality posts to get merit points.  And merit is awarded by some senior member who feels that your post has some positive effect and beneficial to the members ; increases the knowledge level of the members; or a resolution of problem of some members.
I see many members have improved their posts quality.
But still there are many posts of members which are still of low quality.
I think some more hard step can be taken in future to stop low quality post.

It reflects the quality of thought of so-called "bitcoin investors" very well. No truly serious financial investors are involved in here, and they are also exiting Bitcoin after having milked the market during the bubble. The Bitcoin market is left with people who genuinely believe "HODL" is a real financial strategy.......

Bounty campaign responsible for this.  If you join signature campaign, you have to post at least 10 post in certain board only.  Repetitive posts is inevitable because so many member join the bounty and they have to post something.

The problem is that they are doing this intentionally. It is not because of ignorance and thus reminders like this thread will not help in this case.

You are right because peoples need to do google before posting here because most of questions already asked here, first they need to find post according to their need if they get their answer then OK otherwise they can post here and peoples need to post some quality and unique content so everyone can get new info who visit on this platform.

The merit system which has been around for a nearly 6 months has helped temper the bullshit posting. It keeps the flow of new members and posts down because previously people would create new accounts and bullshit posts to rank up to join a campaign. Now, with the requirement to earn merit to rank up the post quality has gone up for some and many others have stopped spending time here.

I think mostly the reason is that signature campaigns sometimes are requiring 15 posts per week, and people just need to put something in order to get there steaks so this is the source of all those pointless replies and posts.

What do you expect anyway?  Millions of different topic about bitcoin?  You must be crazy.
I wouldn't expect millions of different topics, but on any other forum without sig campaigns (which is pretty much all of them), threads aren't created and/or bumped at lightning speed.  On some of the conspiracy sites I've seen which are still alive, some of the newest posts are weeks old, and you can't tell me that talking about 9/11 (or whatever) has become dull or that there aren't enough loonies out there to call every newsworthy event a conspiracy.  That's just what happens when you're not getting paid to post.

I've always thought that the people in these shitposting teams collaborate to create topics that are really easy to answer--and that's just what they do, answer the topic "question" with what amounts to a short answer on a high school exam.  That's exactly how those one line shitposts read like.

In any case, OP is correct about the problem, but it's not going to get any better on its own or even with a warning like this.  These shitposters won't even read this warning much less heed it.  OP might be new here, but he'll soon realize what lazy cretins these sig spammers are.

This is a good suggestion to have a fewer shit poster and redundant open topics that how many times had already discussed on mega thread section. But there are some companies want's to have many posts from signature campaigns just to have more exposure to their company name in the signature campaign. As what I have observed those people having a spam post are newbies and some of them copy paster.

I also sometimes feel that there are a lot of repetive topics in sections like bitcoin discussion. Rarely,  I see some innovative topics in those sections.

The replies there are also mainly one liners made just to I crease activity.  Someone suggested listing the thread repeonses based on number of merits.  It is a good idea in my opinion.  Till,  we have such a solution,  what I do is that if I see a good post from a user in topic I am interested,  I bookmatk his profile.  Generally,  all posts of that user are useful.

It hasn't really. What it has stopped is people being able to rank up by spamming their way through ranks merely over time. The shitposts are still there, they just remain by users at Junior Level who now dominate the forum. People are still creating multiple accounts each and spamming away on them, they just remain Juniors indefinitely and there are campaigns that are all too happy to pay them. This needs to change. Firstly, signatures should be removed from lower ranks completely and to become a Junior Member you should have to earn at least one merit. Ideally nobody should have a signature until Member or even higher. That would stop the complete trash posters from bleeding campaigns merely as Junior as they will never get enough merit without contributing significantly. Secondly, there needs to be punishments for badly run campaigns. These two things alone would work miracles but as long as theymos does nothing the forum continues to become an even bigger trash heap. It needs to stop at some point.

Serious discussion and Ivory Tower disables signatures. I highly recommend spending some time in there for some quality discussion, although those boards aren't as popular (likely due to the fact of no signatures)....

A good trick for picking out good threads through the heaps of garbage is to sort by number of replies. Threads that only have one or two pages of responses haven't been nuked by spammers and botters (for the most part), and can sometimes be the source of genuinely fruitful discussion.

Well, it is simply because we are in a commercialized forum making people greedy to post in order to earn a few pennies. That is why lots of repetitive posts are coming from Jr. Member which I think is an alt account and or bot.

Aside from the sugeestions of hilariousetc, If you want to help the forum maintain it's quality then you should know how to use the report button effectively, this way we can reduce the amount of shitpost created each day. It can be a frustrating work but it can be a remedy for some time.

For now the only way to stop this is by reporting this type of paid shill posters and giving them a red tag. Theymos surely wanted to stop the shitposting by imposing the merit system but not applying it to lower ranks has made a big bulk of scams just working with low ranked accounts. Things like bot posting are also coming into picture as many of the serious spam fighters report here. Until next measures are taken by the mods the only way we can help is by reporting this spam!!
