We are indeed doing quite well since a low of around 160MH/s midweek.  I finally fixed the "missing blocks" problem on Wednesday (yipppeeeee!) Cool Smiley.  I've left it until now to mention this, just to make sure the re-coding that I did had definitely fixed things.

At one point earlier in the week we were up to about 440KH/s but the "missing blocks" were still happening and in total we had 6 missing blocks by Wednesday, and a few people had dropped away from the pool, which I'm guessing was a result of them being put off by the missing blocks.  All 6 of the missing blocks have been apportioned between members who were mining around the time the missing blocks occurred, and this error shouldn't happen again now.

I also did a quick 2 minute restart of Jumpy, the cloud server, to upgrade him (or her?) a bit on Wednesday night.  We're now tootling along on 2.4Ghz of CPU power and 1504MB of RAM, with the ability to scale hugely if required as the pool grows.

I've added the ability today to send workers to the Retirement Home if you no longer need their active service, following requests to do something like this to help unclutter the main Account Details page.

More good stuff to come...

Onwards and upwards!

Schwede65 - Part of the reason for the 10 minute updates for earnings statistics is to discourage pool hoppers
One word: PPLNS

Ooops, that was because of a missing character in the Retirement Home coding.  All fixed now.

The reboot shouldn't have affected hashrates.  Maybe you've just had a lucky streak since the reboot, panerai.

No current plans to implement PPLNS at the moment, localhost.  To me, proportional seems fairer as you're paid for each and every share. Its also easy for newbies to understand. I see how some people prefer PPLNS though, so you never know what could happen in the future.

Well, it sure is as fair, but it's vulnerable to hopers. Also it has some added variability to reward (even though that doesn't seem to be as much of a problem with Litecoin as it is with BTC), because when a block is found very quickly you may not have a share inside of it. Anyway, I just joined another pool with PPLNS (pool-x).

Hey, just started trying out your pool yesterday.  Seems I'm getting more payouts, but ya'll could have just been lucky.

In either case, things are runnin smooth, thanks for the great pool!

Yeah, I got the same thing as well.  In fact my total ltc earned went to -10, and now is only up to 2 after my unconfirmed broke through the -10.

Don't like, switching pools.

How long have you waited? He posted on the thread like 10 hours ago already. Admins are people too, they sleep sometimes. Wink

Really sorry about this, thing just aren't going right - I've spent a lot of time and energy on trying to make a good pool but I know when it's time to fall on my sword.  I'll be stopping the pool as soon as I've posted this.  Please withdraw your balances if you can (see below).

As a bit of background, there were a couple more glitchs that happened today and somehow the pool allocated an extra 1747.59999999 Litecoins between pool members for block 478 and did the same for block 479.  This is just one glitch too far.  I tried to be fair when adjusting things to correct members' balances but possibly that was a bit off too.

Some members have already withdrawn balances from the 3495.19999998 which was incorrectly allocated, so the pool as a whole is vitually empty now. I'll be sending some of my own Litecoins from my own pocket to top it up so that everyone can withdraw their balances.

If you feel you have been unfairly treated, please post here with any relevant calculations for me to consider.

Wolf, if you can tell me your litecoin address I'll send that 0.47039161089352 LTC directly to you.

Ah man, that's rough.  Sorry about your bad luck =(.

Don't worry about fixing mine, no need to kick a man while he's down.

I sincerely hope you have better luck with your future endeavors!

edit: infact you can keep what's left if you need help paying back other folk.  user id 423

Froggy,

I'm willing to keep my kHashes pointed at your pool if you need it to make up for the glitch. Stuff happens, and otherwise your pool's been swell.

i must have come along at an unlucky time then, sorry if i seemed impatient..

dont worry about the fractional amount, it set my balance (0 since i was new lol) into the negative, if the relatively small amount of shares i put in put it positive you can put that towards reimbursing those who lost real amounts

i think you should not throw in the towel just yet, you did have a good thing going here and since you are being honest and trying to fix the problem i think most would give you another chance

perhaps naming and shaming those who cashed out the obviously higher than should of been payments might help  Wink

you should definately try and get to the bottom of exactly what happened and WHY because paying out thousands instead of 50 is kinda suspicious

best of luck

Wolf, I have a feeling that part of the withdraws might have come from the auto-withdraw feature.

Thanks guys, you are great and bringing a little tear to my eye here.  It's OK, I think it's best for me to just keep things shut down, at least for now and probably for good.  It's probably a case of my coding being icky rather than anything suspicious.  I'm just too exhausted right now with all the work I've put in.  I've transferred my entire personal holding of 1679.74 to the pool - just have to buy another 465.26 on the exchanges to transfer in and it should enable everyone to be paid.
