I did not want to create this post, but unfortunately I do not know what to do.
I have an account on the Poloniex exchange - it was my first exchange and the account was created almost 1.5 years ago.
I have nothing to hide - my account was fully verified a year ago and the trading volumes were large.
I invested some of the money in mining and used poloniex for deposits of funds received from mining - some of them I reinvested, some sold to cover expenses. I never had any problems with this exchange - the funds always left and came very quickly.
On June 18, I received a letter from the stock exchange "Good news! We've reviewed your account and decided to increase your daily withdrawal limit to $ 100,000.00." You can login here to view your new limit. " - I did not ask for it, but apparently seeing my trading volumes, the exchange decided that I was an important customer.
And after 2 weeks - on June 27 my account was frozen - I immediately applied for technical support - the reason for the blocking was a "suspicious transaction."
I understand perfectly well that there are rules and norms on which verification is carried out.
The transaction referred to by the support service was made in early April - 2 months before the extension of the withdrawal limits and almost 3 months before the blocking.
I do not know the person to whom I sent the transaction - I needed 200 dollars, I found it in a chat of Telegram - he sent me money, I sent bitcoin. - I wrote this in response to a question asked by a support.
The problem is that my account has more than $ 100,000. support does not answer for 39 days!
I've already created 5 repeated requests - the answer is always the same - we thank you for your patience, do not create duplicate messages, this will slow down the examination - but it's already slowed down - they do not talk with me for 1.5 months!
I do not know what to do - it seems to me that the exchange has lost my money and now comes up with a formal blocking reason.
If I'm wrong and there are technical support staff at this forum - ticket no. 1034388.
Perhaps there is someone who has encountered a similar problem and knows the ways to solve it?

It seems you have made a transaction with a scammed account, so they will freeze all accounts having transactions relating to that scammed one.
I hope some supporters here go examination and help him to unfreeze the account asap.

No actually poliniex is good exchanger at all time but when the time that almost all of the traders are trading in poliniex exchanger the website itself becomes so slow and so laggy and that's enough reason to leave in the poliniex exchanger hopefully they will fix it in just a matter of time so that the users will used it again Smiley

That is really frustrating. 39 days is enough time for them to look at those suspicious transaction and they must gave you now a response or explanation on what happened. You also a verified user so no such thing as lack of documents unless they asked for it the second time.

No other choice but to wait for them to response eventhough you are waiting for 39 days and counting by now. This is really frustrating especially you have a total balance of $100,000. Hope that your problem will be solved.

That has nothing to do with OP's case.

In as much as Poloniex is at liberty to review transactions that have been done in the past despite the upgrade because from what I can read, it could be as a result of periodic audit or someone affected made the complain which necessitated an investigation that led to your account being frozen but 39 days is definitely on the high side to resolve an issue without giving an update for a verified user is what is alarming in all of this that should be condemned. I don't think they cheat you but the investigation is still going on which I want to suggest if you have not done to attach the screen shots of the conversation you had with the buyer because your excuse is not convincing enough without supporting evidence.

There is nothing you can do than to wait or look for other platforms like Twitter to put more pressure on then to attend to your case and the moment it gets resolved, it high time to started looking for means to dilute your trading platforms to avoid situations like this.

It is very likely that he has made such a transaction. The results were not good, because the bad guys did it. And it is very difficult to handle such cases. Need help from big and reputable investors help in this situation, I think so.

of course they use a risk management system and conduct an audit, but I think before they expanded my account, they checked it.
in any case, I told to the support of all that I know. I'm ready for cooperation - but I'm ignored. For 1.5 years on my account there were hundreds of transactions - never had any problems with this.
I can't understand what the problem is - I can't transfer bitcoins into a currency in any way, except by selling it to someone. I do this and receive a 1.5 month money lockout, of which more than a month I was simply ignored. this is crazy
I didn't try to escape somewhere, hide the money - the transaction they were talking about was on April 8, the account was blocked on June 27. if it was suspicious or sent to a fraudster-I don't believe that they are checking millions of accounts manually - why they did not block the account right away?

I've heard similar stories with Poloniex actually and hope yours doesn't turn messy. They seem to just freeze accounts arbitrarily and don't communcate well with the users once they've frozen it. You don't seem to have done anything suspicious, but like said above, it could be just because of an association with a suspicious account. Just being connected with one is enough to be blamed, so it's probably not a good idea to keep a large balance in the same account that does transactions. A better solution is to keep the majority in an offline wallet and then transact as necessary with the rest though an exchange.

you have to be patient, hopefully this can be quickly handled by poloniex exchangers. I myself have never experienced anything like what you are experiencing right now, I have never traded on poloniex since the market was hit by a hacker attack. indodax, hitbtc and binance markets. but I think if there have been events like this many traders will definitely switch to other exchangers.

Exactly what I was thinking.

I have a few questions for you. You said on June 18 you received a letter from the exchange that you're withdrawal limits was increased.
[1] Are you certain that the said email really came from the legit site?
[2] Have you logged in through the given link?
[3] Have you checked if there was any suspicious activity happened on your account without your consent?
[4] After confirming the increased withdrawal limits, what activities have you made (ex. deposit, withdrawal)?

It's just quite weird if your account has been frozen without doing any activity recently or after you received that email. I mean, AFAIK risk management system detects it right away when there's a suspicious activity, no? 3 months is quite a long period of time.

Yes, the message was real - I never follow links from letters if I do not know what this link is. The limit was actually increased, although I did not really need it - even 25,000 was enough for my needs. The account is set to 2FA and no one else can go there. activity on the account - since Poloniex increased the limits, I didn't withdraw money from there - there was no need, but for the period from April 8 until the time of blocking there were a lot of transactions for input and output, but the support service asked only this transaction from April 8...
I also ask myself the question what such a terrible thing could be in this transaction, why they remembered it only now, why have they been silent for 40+ days already? - if they have additional questions to me, I'm ready to answer them, if the fact that I wrote enough - why not unblock my account?

serezhik123, the lesson is dont use an exchange the same as your wallet. The exchange can freeze your coins like you experienced because you dont control your own private keys. If you were a smart user, you always withdraw your coins to your wallet in a newly generated address to add privacy.

If you check around the Internet there are many stories of poloniex taking forever to resolve anything, you have been waiting for a little bit more than a month but there are people that waited for 3 or 4 months and sometimes even longer, while the amount of money that we are talking about is significant for you, for an exchange that is not a lot of money, I really think this is going to get resolved but it will take time and when it does use another exchange.

I have never had problems with this exchange, support always answers quickly. I do not know why you have such a problem. I think you should wait, I read that some people with such problems waited months.

The threads were full of complaints because of a poor support on Poloniex. Since they changed ownership this year, the support seemed to be much better.
Anyways, when one has no problem with Poloniex, that doesn't necessarily mean, that there are no problems on poloniex.
Back to OP.
When you are sure, that you didn't follow a link to a pishing site, there may be a problem with the sending address (the cloud miner,  which sent your funds or a service, that isn't legal in the eyes of Poloniex, f.e. a crypto casino). But there is no reason to freeze whole account.
Maybe follow exactly  the instructions by poloniex, if you didn't already:

https://poloniex.freshdesk.com/support/solutions/articles/1000166425-how-do-i-open-a-support-ticket-what-information-should-i-include-
If nothing helps  to get your account unfrozen and get an answer to your support tickets, try to reach them on their social channels and open a thread on scam accusations.

Yeah, the longest waiting time I had waiting for a reply from Poloniex's support was 5 days. I think users of the exchange send and resend complaints making their waiting times longer than they should expect. Its more advisable to send one and patiently wait.

Poloniex has many users, but their supports will take a long time to respond. As I mentioned, he has involved into a scammed case, I think the best way is waiting for poloniex's support.

Poloniex's support team does not work. I had to complain to them about the slow but unresolved transfer. I believe they are less than not fraud. These are still the major exchanges in the world

Poloniex was the first crypto exchange I got introduced to last year, was doing pretty fine even as I could link by api to tabtrader, but checking certain reviews and complaints, I had to switch to bittrex and Binance, Not sure any of my friend is using them already
