Thanks Graet,

Could you please let us know what is the difficulty of the target that the pool provides as work? I understand that you need to put a low target for enough shares to be generated during a block, just wondering what the implied difficulty is.

In my eyes, you're ahead of the pack of pool operators  Smiley. While everybody was debating about merged mining with namecoins (which is old news now), you're taking a bet in a completely uncharted direction. Congrats for this !

hi 3phase,
My understanding is most LTC pools are running at 20, we are set at 16.

We will propably be implementing NMC BTC merged mining soon, but it is a different kettle of fish to setting up up a seperate pool like the LTC pool.

I have been watching the CPU mining chains and I do think there is a place for a "silver to Bitcoin's gold", I like that there is no pre-mine, is an open source project and everyone with a cpu can participate. Good for miners and pool ops alike Smiley

I have had a coder asking to help for a while and as a test I asked him to set us up a LTC pool as a learning excercise and to show us his skills.
ryannathans with some help and supervision from Wayno and Ycros has done us proud Smiley
Great work ryan Cheesy
Thanks for the kind words Smiley

Hi Great,

Been mining on your pool for ~ 24 hours now. Some observations: your stats seem to update really slow and the payout seems a lot lower than Altchains. Is this just bad luck or is something wrong ? (I threw ~ 10 khash/s at Altchains and have been receiving higher payout than with the 20 khash/s I am throwing at your pool ?)

Also; you should do a search and replace for Mhash/s --> khash/s

Update;

Seems to be completely down now !
Fatal error: Uncaught BitcoinClientException:
  • : Connect error: Connection refused (111) thrown in on line 0
Maybe a problem with LTC ? (Altchains isn't working either)

Update: and it's back already. (unlike Altchains)

Hi,
We are going overr the numbers again to be sure.

There is a problem with litecoid, it is crashing regularly. we are logging to try identify the issue and sort out some auto restart (bitcoind has a similar issue)

Great work Graet Smiley

In the mean time I will be pointing most of my workers @ Altchains. It outpays ozco.in even when I throw only 5 khash/s at it vs 25 khash/s to ozco.in...

Update:
I now am sure that something is off at either ozcoin or Altchains. In just 1,5 hours I got the following @ Altchains:
LTC Balance: 3.64356618 LTC

Pending Confirms: 21.83445778

That's more than I got @ ozcoins in ~ 24 hours !? (roughly the same hashspeeds)

what's your hashrate, mining client and launch parameters for ozco?
also, as yet ozco doesn't have an 'unconfirmed balance' display on the stats on the side. however, you can see your estimated rewards from recently solved (unconfirmed) blocks by going into the All Blocks Found page (https://lc.ozco.in/blocks.php).
i've had no problems getting 50ish LC in the last 24hrs on ozco (with 5KH/s).

I've got around 30khash/s in total, I pointed all of it (started with 6 khash/s and scaled upwards from there) to ozcoin using:
minerd-ssse3-core2.exe --algo scrypt --s 6 --threads 2 --url http://lc.ozco.in:9332 --userpass user:password
Alas I only got 23 LTC's. As you can see on the other pool (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=48192.0;all) I am getting that in 1,5 hours Tongue I'll stick with them for now...

The share difficulty seems to be really low. I'm getting accepted shares constantly (at ~3.50 kh/s)

Not like it would be a bad thing, I like watching a huge list of accepted shares scroll down.

A small request is I would like to see lifetime shares for each worker, as I mentioned in private before. Since there are no thorough CPU comparisons and not enough tests done, it is good to be able to compare performance with different switches in the miner, and to compare different CPUs.

But, no rush, it is not a big deal. Having a reliable top-tier pool for LTC is much more valuable.

Thanks for your continued work.
